View Full Version : Injector Dynamics (t1 racing) Injectors vs FIC injectors

We get many questions about the newer Injector Dynamics (T1 Racing) injectors. They really are great injectors that can idle better then any previous saturated/high impedance design all while flowing huge amounts of fuel. They have great linearity and can handle high duty cycles. What makes them great is they are based of the new Bosch ev14 injectors which are available to many suppliers not just Injector Dynamics.

We sell virtually the same thing under the FIC brand as we have been dealers with FIC for many years. And the price is lower. If you compare the two companies they are using the same bosch part numbers.

Fantastic info!

The tip being changed by T1 does make me wonder how big of a difference it does make. Obviously enough that they go through the work of changing the tip out.

Do you know how superior the ev14 injector is to say DW1000's injectors?

I wouldn't be surprised if they changed the tip just to make theirs look different than off the shelf bosch. ID/T1 is good at marketing.

there is Miles of difference between ID and FIC.

starting with dynamically flow testing in sets. FIC doesnt do that.

plus the pulse control on lower idle is SO much better then the FIC. have fun getting an FIC to idle up 1000 rpm. lol. it can be done. but the time you would spend getting the ID's to idle will be so much easier.

to each there own but we no longer sell FIC. ONLY ID in my shop

I've put several sets of FIC's on my ASNU bench and they have all matched well at various pulsewidths. Including my own 1100cc ones in my ls1. nothing hard about dynamically matching injectors and they have nicer equipment than i do . Only thing I've heard extra that ID does that other companies don't is dead time match their injectors as well and i'm skeptical about how much that helps. both companies are using the same part numbers on many of their sizes

the owner Jens is just a super nice guy, honest and down to earth. just spoke to him on the phone for 30 minutes today.

The bench itself is not something we sell, but all of the injectors we sell benefit from it!

Do they both perform the same under higher psi?

Do they both perform the same under higher psi?

sure. they both are using the same bosch part number. Injector shops do not change the actual internals of the injector. It wouldn't be cost effective nor do they have the capability/equipment to build an injector. but they take the same bosch part number and match them into closer groups. if needed depending on the car, modify the length with extenders, change the orings, change the flow by drilling the distribution disc or removing it altogether. I believe changing the flow can change the dead time slightly.

in the case with ID2000's and FIC 2150's , I believe they both are opened up to the max with distribution discs removed so they should be identical. ID2000's actually flow 2225cc on race gas, FIC flows 2150 on injector test fluid.
