Just wondering, whats the gains of ram air on a fixed speed impeller?

Should be good as the delta pressure across the compressor should stay the same so you would think it should help unless the air is too turbulent, etc. Shouldn't matter if it's fixed or turbine driven.

(I didnt want to try to bring turbos into the same discussion.)
For the supercharger, delta pressure would (I think) be zero or even. Its just turbulence I would be thinking. Are the compressor wheels designed to spin more or less efficiently with pressure coming from the side and front? If its a negative effect, or causing the compressor wheel to have a load it would make less power with more load on the engine. And vise versa if it works in favor.

Larger inlets on centrifugal superchargers, or even twin screw for that matter, usually always worth 1-2psi (or more depending) without a pulley change, they love the extra airflow.

Yea kinda thought about it, and its probably just making it more efficient.
