2rz with an 8 port intake coil pack head. 2rz only came in 2wd Tacoma's. The 2rz's big brother is the 3rz, and they can make even more power.

Those Starlets sure are pricey for and old economy car. And the short wheel base makes it hand full with much power.

I'v been once this year. I used to think mid 12's were possible with the current power level but now I'd just be happy to get into the 12's. I'm still learning to drive and playing around with traction. The truck went 13.3 @ 104 with a 1.9 60' at tristate this year. I want to make to CFR before the year is up but I'm running out of time. I need to make some shock mounts before I go again.

13.2 @ 102 with 1.7 60 ft :) still got you by a tiny bit. you really are only one good launch away.

Does it wheel hop or just spin? If it just spins, im sure you could find someone to loan you a set of stickies for one good run.

I was shocked the 370Z went 13.7@ 104 with a 2.2 60foot 100% bone stock first pass. Even the 40+ lbs of nitrogen in the tires.

LOL. Eric, I went 13.1 @ 104 a couple of years ago.

Neither. I'm still leaving pretty soft. Just trying to figure out what rpm to leave at and how fast to come off the clutch. I have 26 x 11.5 x 15 MT ET's, so I know that's not the problem.
There's a good chance I'll have the shock mounts done by Saturday, so we will see If i can break into the 12's.

Traction wasent the issue, it was leaving at 2k I couldnt stall it up high enough to get it to leave decent. needs a launch control or for me to really hold the brakes.
slow ride

Needs torque :) Well down low that is or a higher stall converter. They keep adding power to those, but it's only up top.

Kinda sucks, I got the shock mounts done, and then on the way to the track the truck developed a misfire. So I guess I'll try again next year.

you ever post pics of your trucks engine bay? I know what the truck looks like, but not the engine setup.

I think I posted some when I first joined in 2008. I have some more current pics on the camera, but I can't find my cable to get them uploaded to the computer.

You can't see it in the pic, but it has an 18" permacool e-fan. Fits in the factory shroud like a glove.
