I'll get pictures to help explain some of this within the next few days. I am curious about a few things.
-Its a E28.
-The manifold is off of a E23 745i (not sold in the us).
-K27 KKK turbo
I have no turbo to manifold gasket and no one sells these things, what is the best way to make one?
I have no turbo to down pipe gasket, and I am curious to what the gasket needs to look like. The turbo itself has 4 bolts which hold the down pipe on; exhaust exits a 3" diameter hole and there is a chamfer where it it meets flush with the rear of the exhaust housing (I will get pictures of this). The down pipe however is a flared pipe with a loose flange, it can slide up and down the pipe (by design). It appears the flared pipe sits inside the chamfer on the exhaust housing and this flange slides into place. The flange is not flat and will not mash up against the rear of the turbo, so Im not quiet sure what to do here...? PICTURE NOW BELOW (ignore the markings)

The manifold also has a center section in which it can rotate. Its a 6 cylinder motor. There is a collar separating the first 3 and last 3 exhaust ports in which they can rotate relative to each other (again by design).
