I'll get pictures to help explain some of this within the next few days. I am curious about a few things.

-Its a E28.
-The manifold is off of a E23 745i (not sold in the us).
-K27 KKK turbo

I have no turbo to manifold gasket and no one sells these things, what is the best way to make one?

I have no turbo to down pipe gasket, and I am curious to what the gasket needs to look like. The turbo itself has 4 bolts which hold the down pipe on; exhaust exits a 3" diameter hole and there is a chamfer where it it meets flush with the rear of the exhaust housing (I will get pictures of this). The down pipe however is a flared pipe with a loose flange, it can slide up and down the pipe (by design). It appears the flared pipe sits inside the chamfer on the exhaust housing and this flange slides into place. The flange is not flat and will not mash up against the rear of the turbo, so Im not quiet sure what to do here...? PICTURE NOW BELOW (ignore the markings)

The manifold also has a center section in which it can rotate. Its a 6 cylinder motor. There is a collar separating the first 3 and last 3 exhaust ports in which they can rotate relative to each other (again by design).

I'm not familiar with this BMW jazz, Im hoping someone more knowledge able with exhausts in general can help me out.

I've honestly looked for like 2 days and withing 20 minutes of making this thread I find my answers.

looks like Parts 10 and 11 are what I need.

BMW seems to love using these little gaskets rings everywhere. I think I've got it all figured out, but this thread will remain here to showcase my lack of knowledge in the matter.

turbo E28 you say? I'm interested, I have a thing for BMWs for some reason. Keep us informed how it comes together!

This is exactly why I didn't keep my 335xi. Parts were rediculous and BMW's little "tricks" just end up costing you more time and money!

I probably would have bored out the turbo inlet and tossed #10 and used a flat gasket (it does work, IE:dsm). Outlet side I would just use a flat gasket again. Some of the make your own gaskets are really nice if thats needed. Audi turbo sitting here is the same design.

thats why you have to stick to camaros and mustangs. costs $$ to be different

I am still considering ditching #10. I already have a gasket made up to use there.

Its my girlfriends car, Im not paying for any of it :).
