So there is a built 8.8 rear made for the rx7 for sale, he wants way to much for it but sounds like he's getting desperate to sell

The rear is narrowed 3.25" on each side, moser 5/8 wheel studs, aerospace brakes, qa1 coilovers

couple questions
1. how does the narrowed rear effect handling or anything else?? I know it lowers the weight because you have shorter axles and make up for it with different backspace on the rims. So I'd end up buying new rims with a different backspace so the overall width from tire to tire would be about the same

2. how do those 5/8 wheels studs work? does that require a special rim? those aluminum spacers look huge

3. how much extra is that rear worth considering it comes with aerospace brakes and qa1 coilovers?

1. As long as your contact patch stays the same width you wont notice the difference in the narrowed rear end.

2. I use 5/8 studs on my 8.8 rear end and my spacers look nothing like that, the spacers I use are much smaller and have a step machined into them to center the wheel properly with the correct thread engagment on the lug nut.. As long as your wheels have a big enough hole for the studs to go through you should be fine, just need the correct spacers/washers.

3. I generally consider all used parts like that to be worth 50% of new cost max.. So take that for what its worth I guess.

Hope that helps a little bit
