I haven't had much time to work on it but have been working on the 25.5 cage and the car picture is a a few weeks old. I will have the cage installed and completed in a couple weeks. Alot of work left.

That is fantastic! The engine looks so small in there and is probably considerably lighter than anything you can find from Ford.

I hope I can get it finished for cordova. I have nhra chassis cart on the 7th or 8th of Sept at tristate raceway. The front plate is grade 50.

Whats the displacement? How much power/ET's are you expecting? Just curious what made you choose such a unique powerplant.

The motor is 2.3 liters, drysump, powerglide, the car weighs 2200lbs. Going to make around 1100hp . Wanted to do something different, tired of seeing the same style builds. The car will be run in the local 10.5 class and Midwest 275 classes. With the weight It's at it should run quick.

There are many benefits to 5 cylinders and spooling huge turbos without nitrous is one of them. The motors have a excellent exhaust pulse that is better then a v8 or 6 cylinder.

2.3 liters....thats a small guy. i'm no expert on exhaust pulses but my initial guess would be that any benefit would be minimal. I would assume overall exhaust volume would have the greatest impact. twin scroll vs undivided, equal length headers vs unequal, etc etc still don't make a 4 banger spool up a turbo like a v8.

how does the 5 cylinder pulse better than a v8 ?

I have heard of good spool improvements from using spool valves.

I'm waiting for a damper from ATI. It's a custom unit but the lead time is 90 days LOL. Not sure if it will happen. But I will get some testing before the end of this year. I plan on taking the car down south for test hits.
