Looking for a set of rod bearings I could pick up off someone today standard 4g63 rod bearings if anyone has some call me 563 608 4119 mine got fried after the filter came loose in cedarfalls last saturday night....

Safety wire that bish High pressure from no balance shafts, vibration from no balance shafts and high rpm cause this problem to a lot of dsm guys. I hope to see the car running 100% though.

Yes the bearings worked good!! Put them in Friday afternoon and drove it to a a car show that night in Manchester thanks to Brent I'm so glad I checked them one more pass and I woulda had a 4g63 paperweight. Called Napa today and they said the ACL race bearings are on backorder so no telling when I will have em...

I'm going to build a bracket on the engine to lock down the filter so engine harmonics wont shake it loose again in the future!

Any reason you are switching to ACL? I usually suggest people to go with a bearing that breaks down instead of the rods or crank.

I started using them a few years back when we were having crank walk problems maybe a softer bearing would be more beneficial in these circumstances i know the ones i took out were acl standards and not race because they had that aluminum coating that the race ones don't. You have a good point and if they might have been the hard bearing they may have spun i have CLEVITES in there now
