I signed up, can't say 100% if I'll be there yet, thing's getting tuned earlier than I'd like it too this monday, hoping it doesn't have any issues.

I have a pair of tires Rob gave me, 275/40/17 Nitto radials, not a lot of life left on them, but I was thinking might be great for someone to do a burnout for Rob or something.

Tires are free to good home.

My vacation starts tomorrow and will be ending with the shootout so i'll be there!

I think if all goes to plan, we'll actually be there Friday for the TnT and stay overnight. Have a few beers. Or ten.

Anyone touch base with Anita there having Rob's cars there?

I'll still trying to scramble and catch up here. Lost a several weeks of time when my brother was dying from cancer and I took a few trips out of state these last few months to be with him. He passed away may 14th. but family is 100x more important.

Thought I might not make the shootout but the twins did my cage fast and the last 8 days in a row i've out in the garage since my cage got done. 1:45am right now just got in from the garage. I'm sure I'll be working on it every day until the shootout. just got the motor almost back together with the new cam in. twin walbros and larger fuel line is in. have to re-install the interior and tune for the cam and e85 now. hope the tuning goes fast...

just picked up some e85 tonight, have to drain the tank and dump some in tomorrow

Sorry to hear that Ryan. Family definitely takes priority. Makes this car stufff seen silly.

I bet your car really wakes up with E85. Just the cooling effect alone on a setup like yours will show up huge I would think.

Damn Ryan you never said anything about your brother. I remember he was sick, but not sure it would end like this. Sorry to hear this so late. If you need a hand with things I could probably swing down some time.

i'm really sorry to hear Ryan. i'm glad to hear its looking like you'll make it, but if by some chance you can't, just let us know. i'm sure colton, me and a few others could try and pull things together if need be.

Yeah, really sorry to hear about your brother. Makes you realize what's important in life. Hope your car comes back together quickly. You'll love the E85. I got mine tuned last weekend, and it's awesome when you pull up to the pump and don't have to pay over $3 a gallon for gas. Love the smell too. The cooling effect is awesome and something that I never took into account. I've got a 195 thermostat in mine and it has yet to go about that. Takes forever to get up to temp too.

thanks guys.

Is Josh Apples going to the shootout this year. I know he made the first two manual shootouts. He eliminated me last year when he ran a 11.1 or 11.2 . I want revenge.

How's tuning going Ryan? Throwing much more timing/boost at it?

with the new cam and e85, I had to fab up a wood block under my pedal to keep me out of the 9's

and I forgot about my 160 degree thermostat, I can tell my coolant temperature really does stay lower now. Also if i have time I might fab up a cold air intake, my filter see a lot of heat, should be good for quite a few ponies if I get time for a cold air intake http://www.importevolution.com/temp/rx7_intake.jpg

Sweet yeah a throttle stop would probably be a must in your case!

Maybe you can do a exhibition pass after the shootout and bust off a 9.50 or so

I was talking about the guy drilling a hole in his pedal!!

9.5 LOL.....

i think cmart was talking to me. yea that pedal picture is not even mine, just joking around.

my car is actually running a little rough, mainly at a low throttle tip in. got the cam surging, jerking going on. yesterday was the first day i was able to drive it around with the new cam and e85. I started by doing 30% more fuel across the board but it was pretty rich at idle and just needs a lot of tuning at different areas of the map. WOT feels pretty good, loses traction in 4th gear consistently but my tires are old. I'm going to have to put the Mickey's on to tune , as soon as it hits about 7psi the tires break free.
