Since I decided to part out my Civic, I have been busy with another project. But first, some pics and a video of Dallas driving my Civic for the last time. Scaled the car the night before we went to the track, 2400lbs with a full tank/driver/race ready. Full interior/electric windows/sunroof. Got it to a 66/34 split. Hooked great for a FWD on a cold day, with a driver that has NEVER driven a car this fast before.

you probably know this already but with that convertible you'll have to have a full roll cage at 10.99 vs a 9.99 for a normal car. but knowing you, you probably already had a goal of 9's.

Thanks for the words guys. I figured I would cage this no matter what, the Vert kinda scares me a bit. I'm sure it will put some strength in the car also. I want to go fast, but I just want to be able to get in it, turn the key and go for a drive. I didn't get to do that with my Civic, to many start=up BS to do, then it was a bitch to drive.

Bought a set of Summit rims, kinda like yours Ryan. A set of 27in Cheater slicks, and some 4.5/15 matching rims for the front. Should look good and get scootin when it needs to. I figure I run this engine for the year and build a stout engine over the winter. But some Nitrous should do me fine this year for fun!

i would have warned you about that! I made a post on v8rx7forum years ago about them shitty service and shitty fitting stuff and I got my ass chewed out and eventually banned. Well, they did finally call me back after me calling them like 20+ times and leaving at least a dozen messages. They sent me the wrong trans mount or something like that...

On another note, clipped and got my new wires on the engine tonight. New plugs in. Distributor set. Started to get the second Fuel pump lined in and wired, then gave in for the night. I'll get some more pics up tomarrow sometime.

i spoke to grannies for 30 minutes a couple months ago. he answered the phone on my first and only try. he seemed nice and knowlegeable. online its known that they don't answer the phone well and are late to ship parts but they always end up doing it. some people are ready for the lateness and lack of phone support so they don't mind. others hate them. you would think he could make mounts that fit as he has been doing it a while. is there anything different about your motor that would make it require different mounts?

unfortunately he is the only one that makes the 8.8 rear end mount kit. i can't decide if i should get his kit or make my own.

most of the time people go with a solid 8.8", that's usually the purpose of the 8.8" swap, to go solid rear axle. I am one of those "if it aint broke, don't fix it" kind of people though. The TII 4.10 LSD in my FC out lasted 3 WC T5's... 2 from V8's one from a 4-banger, surprisingly, the 4cyl T5 did better than the V8 ones...

What's the Mr. Gasket pump going to be used for? Caleb was using one of those on his 85 and I did manage to get it to run a 12.879 at 108 mph but fought and fought fuel problems with the damn thing. That thing only flows like 30 gpm or something close to that. It may work for smaller stock things but I wouldn't trust it for anything more than that.

Not saying it's a bad pump, depending on if the motor is built and how hard your pushing it. If it's thirsty, the pump may not be able to keep up with the demand of the engine.

what suspension do you have? i really had to roll my fenders and set my suspension higher. they are still close to rubbing but they don't rub under launch. but I have 27" tires so you have a little more room. however i don't think the et street 10.5's I have are as wide as other 10.5 tires.

Poped loud out the exhaust once then out the intake once, and it was really loud each time. I'll have to check it again.

Got my shifter today. Made my plate to cover the Manual shifter hole, mounted it and made my new radio bezal. Gonna be using the bezel top locate a couple gauges.
