the "fast" car was my daily driver for a long time. only last year i got another car. i bought my other one then made the fast one faster. but until then it was the car that drove me to work in rain snow sleet and shine. i drove it to rochester NY with that setup. 15hrs straight with no radio wasnt so awesome.

Ran like a champ never got to the track or dyno to prove to everyone and there mom my car was fast and made power cause it didn't.. But to me it was fun AND Dallas and i helped build Sherman motor that made almost 550hp no biggy cause its not a high horse power ls1 but again still fun.

Yes correct so sherman didn't finish the car. But it did get finished and made good and it was built by us so what if sherman or dallas didn't throw a turbo kit on it and pay to get tuned the motor that we all had a hand in did it. Sorry if you don't see it the way I do.

The reason i take claim on that motor is cuz, shermans motor was in my basement from "junkyard LS", to $5k worth of parts scattered thru out the basement, to fully assembled and in the car..... and all garret did was bolt on a turbo and crank up the boost, it put down numbers and HE even gives all the credit to "spinler built" and so does sherman. Sherman says that motor was spinler built all the time.

Shit i wish it was spec.... lol. No it is an F1, yes its ebay. But i used the same thing in my 4door and it lasted almost 2yrs before i sold it, never had any issues or complaints. A few DA guys use them as well. Next on the list is a 88A hasport rear mount, should keep the motor nice and solid. Trans, mount, and clucth should all be ready for tri-state.

Did it come with a flywheel? Look, im not gonna turn this into another 5 page debate. Ive used these clutches, i asked other honda guys what they think, ive done research. Will this hold up to a lot of power?, prolly not.... Will it hold the power im putting threw it?, more than likely yes. 1 example: Theres a guy who swears by these clutches, His B16A2 has been on 18lbs for 3yrs with this exact clutch, he says he beats on it more often than not, and its still holding strong, and its not a trailer queen. So plz, lets not drag this out....... I paid $290 shipped for it.

I really dont see it being that bad , total of about $450 for my comp stage 4 clutch + fidanza flywheel. Although I'm actually staying with my stock flywheel just figured I'd price it.

To be honest, that friction disc looks exactly like my Comp disc in my car. When I went through the headache of finding a unit when I did my 6 speed swap, research told me that most of the time the clutch "kits" are nothing more than 1 manufacturer making the PP and the company just painting it their color. Most of the time that is, at least in the lower HP rated clutch kits. That being said, hope you like instant, violent engagement. I have the sprung version and it's just AWESOME stoplight to stoplight. Hope you read the sarcasm.

I think a lot of pressure plates are modified oem or sourced elsewhere and modified to provide more clamp load. Its one of those things that you want to make sure are going to hold together reliably and be balanced or it can waste a lot of time and money and possibly injure you if it fails at high rpm. The independently tested SFI approved clutches are a nice peace of mind .

Well i got the clutch and trans in, got about 750 miles on it and i LOVE it. Grabs hard and feels stock, kinda.... lol. But thats not what this post is about sadly :(. Monday night i was at my old ladys house, it was about 830 or so when we both heard a loud "bang" and my alarm started goin off! I grabbed my keys and shut it off, ran outside and this middle aged lady looked at me and said, "Im soo sorry, i didnt even see it......" Yea, she somehow managed to back into a white car that was parked under a street light. Oh, and that car happened to be mine. So the cops get called, and the cop says since i wasnt even in the car and it was parked that i dont have to give her my info. So i got her insurance stuff and so far everythings goin pretty smooth. Im waitin for the claims adjuster to get ahold of me, should be tomorrow hopefully. Already got a few estimates and they seem to avg. about $1,700 in damage, but for a 21 yr-old car its cuttin it close to bein totaled. The car books anywhere between $1,900-$2,900. Anyway, heres some pics i took today, i had to pull the fender away from the tire before i cld drive it.

Sucks that this happened. At least it is being taken care of. When someone hit my vert they took off and I was never able to find out who did it. If you shop around you can find parts cheap, I shopped for about 4 months and fixed a quoted $1700 in damage for $300 waiting on the right deals to come along.

So i dropped the car off to the body shop on Tuesday, they called and said it needed a new bumper support. So im still without a car for now, they said i should get it back this Tuesday or Wednesday. They painting my chin spoiler the same color as the car, which im pretty excited about to be honest, always wanted to do that just never had the time. Heres the parts list as the car sits:

New front bumper skin
New front bumper support
New set of corner lights
New bumper slider brackets
New driver fender
New headlight bracket

Theyre also blending the new paint into the driver door, so all the moldings and inner panels are pulled off the car. Car looks so different right now, cant wait to get it back!

I saw this car on Friday off Collins. Exterior looks pretty good and great condition for its age but the exhaust needs work IMO. Very ricey, raspy fart can sound. Some Magnaflow CBEs or aftermarket resonator would help a lot. I heard you even when you were out of view lol.

Honestly is there such a thing as good sounding Honda exhaust? I haven't heard it yet if there is. I always end up shaking my head when I hear one.

Granted, mine is late model and V6, but I have zero rasp and a nice 30-40 Hz rumble. Too many Honda enthusiasts get caught up in deleting resonators and running straight pipes to try to gain a few HP while throwing CELs and getting crazy loud. I think if they approach their modding knowing its a Honda and not a Mustang it helps avoid the rasp lol.
