looking for a cheap laptop. pretty much needs to run the programs for my wideband and DSMLink, and thats it. dont care about much else with it, just seeing if anyone has something laying around.

i'm not a fan of used laptops. people seem to ask to much for them. the battieries usually need replacing and they aren't cheap. and everything is so integrated if something goes wrong there goes your savings.

plus laptops are so nice to have IMO it is worth buying a nice one and use it all the time for web surfing on the couch just like i'm doing now. best buy has a new one for $279 right now.

I got a EEE netbook from Bestbuy for $300 2 years ago.
Planned on using it only for tuning, but ended up using it more than my desktop.
Some people hate them because they are tiny, but its pretty fast and has worked for me.
(I'm not a gamer or anything demanding on my comp though.)

i talked to my fiance and she said she'd be fine with me just using her laptop if need be. i was hoping to find something older for under $100, but really, i think Ryan has a point. we'll see, maybe i'll end up with a cheap best buy one or something. thanks anyway guys

The last $100 used laptop I bought, literally tried to catch itself on fire.
Started it up one day and it just started smoking!
