I finally went and got my taxes done today. Im going to have $1400 back to spend on the T/A. Suggestions?

At first i was going to just get a ls6 or bbk (oh no heat soak!) intake and cheap tb, lid, slicks and some 3.73s and see what i can get it to run then a year or two down the road go bigger and better. But now i want to do it all right the first time even if it all doesnt get done at once.

I forget what all your car already has done to it. I'm spending right at $1600 and that includes my catback, lid, cam, headers, y-pipe, springs&retainers, pushrods, motor mounts, full gasket kit, LS6 intake.

I would do a lid, cat back, gears, nitrous if you have more money finish the exhaust.

Its auto, nitrous would just blow threw the convertor. I'll probably get lid and tires (just bought some torq thrust IIs) and keep saving looking for some good deals to pop up.

I hate the classifieds on ls1tech, even if i see the stuff right away i always end up like 3rd in line to buy.

Long term, rear end is the best buy. Got mine for around what you've got (although from experience I'd try to avoid a moser 12 bolt). I know since I got my rear end and now bias ply's, its a good feeling knowing I can launch the shit out of it and that wont break. As far as bolt on's go though, ls6 intake, p/p throttle body, lid, headers, exhaust, stall, and tires. Really depends on what your long term plans are on how bulletproof you want to make it.

Not sure about oil pump, haven't read up on it. For timing chain I'm probably getting the LS2. So far the plan is to get it tuned at speedinc

ported ls6 oil pump is around $150. Worthwhile investment

I found mine used on LS1tech. Most go for 1500-1700 range but every now and then there's a cheap one that pops up. The trick is getting what you want on a used one. I didn't want a locker, and wanted to keep abs/tc.
