Good shit I had a 04 suzuki 400 bord nd stroked to a 455 that was fast as shit hard to keep the front end down lol

high comp piston and degree the cams or add hotcams and leave it alone or it will be very very tempermental if you do much more. also check and see if its had the oil pump mod done if it hasnt the 04 and 05 motors will lock up at somepoint.

Ive never heard of the oil pump mod, I know my friends 700r just locked up though so I would be curious to as to what that is also. I wasnt talkin about anything crazy i was talking about a pipe and re jetting.

I wouldnt mind a pipe and rejet but i dont know carbs and every time i fuck with one i mess it up. Im just scared to fuck with it right now.

Ok so i fucked with something and now it wont start...

I wanted to change the twist throttle out for the thumb throttle. I did all that jazz and had a lot of slack in the cable line. I read my book and it said to adjust from the carb so i did. With it adjusted all of the way out it still had WAY too much slack. So i put everything back to how it was.... Now it wont start.

On the YFZ450 fourm someone said my slid in my carb might be stuck open but it feels good and you can hear it snap back down when the throttle is released.

I really would like any help i can get. I only touched the throttle cable!

no i dont think i messed with it. I never pluged the thumb throttle into the TPS so i didnt think that would be the problem. Could have something to do with it i guess.

maybe the throttle was cracked open a bit for idle before and now with slack there is no throttle crack???? did you manually give it some throttle?

I tried starting it with many different throttle positions. I will just ask the old owner if he has any ideas and what im missing.

I cant believe it ran out of gas right at the point of me messing with the throttle....I feel retarded and im sure i will hear about this for awhile.

how was i suposed to know that? it ran perfect. i shut it off and messed with the throttle cable and then it didnt start. I didnt even think about it untill i pulled the fuel line from the tank and nothing came out. I fliped it to reserve and gas came pooring out. I then looked inside the tank and faceplamed....
