Well..I converted the Cobra over to E85 right around 1 year ago..

Put probably 3k miles on the setup and ran only E85. My fuel system has 2 filter elements, 10 micron which is an aluminum deal, and the 100 micron paper element that was the big concern with E85. Lots of myths about how it just destroys filters and lines and everything in it's path...

Well..

Doesn't look too shabby to me!

good to know. That looks like the aeromotive filter right? Even aeromotive told me it will gum up but takes a while. I think you have it backwards though, the 10 micron (finer) is paper. I have one of the papers for my Aeromotive for the few initial tank cleaning, first few tanks. Then I have the stainless 40 micron filter that fits in the same canister and that one is suppose to be a lifetime cleanable element.

Yep, aeromotive units. Yep also, I had them backwards, 10 micron is the paper one..

I was worried about running the paper but your analysis makes me think i will throw it in. so you going to run it longer or change it out?

Honestly after a pretty close inspection, the thing is perfect. I dunno..if I get bored maybe I'll order one up but as of now I'm not planning on it.

Well ford I know has had flex fuel cars quite a while... They use a sensor and it automatically gets ecu reprogrammed when using various fuels. Though no 03/04 had that, just taurus mostly. The only issues I know really w the newer parts is it [alcohol] absorbs water like brake fluid, Idk if putting in stabil would work say over winter but I do know the isopropyl alcohol will get rid of water.

No 03/04 Cobras have that. Except mine :)

That mean I can dump 5 gal of turbo blue in it and run good? You need a 10.0001

That means I could dump 5 gal of 87 octane in it and it will run good.

Running good is different than running hard :)
