from the looks of it, so far those 15-16 people in the list all run in the 8's and 9's. not sure if trent's 10.0 will hold up after we get the list finalized. we could do top 20 if you guys want.

A lot of the car forums I'm on have a 1/4 mile registry.
I'm not sure how hard that is to set up, but it would be neat to see what some of these guys run. (although some like to be secretive!)

Rouges car has never made a 1/4 mile pass that i know of since its set up for 1/8 mile.. Although i keep trying to talk him into runnen it out the back door!! Lorenzo has been 8.23 and i belive Allgo went 8.43

Thanks for the feedback george. ok, i'll make some updates when i get a chance. I'll up it to top 20. Not really fair because Rogues car is fast but just hasn't made a 1/4 pass yet. we could do an estimation/conversion but thats kind of a shady way to do it.

sure we could do all sorts of lists like top 10 dyno's, top 10 sport compact/non v8's, manual transmission cars, suv's/trucks for trevor to dominate ;) .

I agree. Maybe just do one really similar to the one Ryan linked but make a notation of whether the car is manual or auto. That way it's only one form to deal with but you can get all the info you need.

I'd personally I'd like to see a full spread sheet of what everyone's car(s) has run in the 1/4, of all members who have been to the track. And it may include HP ratings/60 ft. and so forth. And if a person goes quicker, they post time slip of a new time of what their running to be bumped up. And just so people know what everyone else is running as well. So if anyone wants to run someone on the street or so forth, people can find decent matches to run. Just my 2 cents. But I don't think it would be that bad.

I'm going to convert it to an html table soon. yea we could ask for proof if something is in question. i think right now most of the people on the list someone on this forum has seen it as proof. i dug up some old videos and threads to get a lot of the info.

I would dissagree with the 1/4 mile comment, the only ACTUAL drag racing done in Iowa right now is 1/8th mile so theres probably a few people that dont care to ever run 1/4 mile.

Im 99% sure I have lost my fastest time slips but theres probably video of the passes somewhere. I know my fastest 1/4 mile time is on youtube against Torrey, not sure on the 1/8mile run though

I'm not big on racing on the streets because of my work situation, but this sounds like a great way to decide who has the fastest street car.

Street Racing is for high school kids with nothing to loose! I myself know i could drag my car out and chop the heads off everyone of the so called Dinner roll racer wanna bee fast street scene guys any night of the week from a dig, simply because i know it hooks cause ive done it with out anyone to draw attention to me around. I have a house, a wife in 5 more days, and a ton of toys.. well actually a shit ton if i count dads haha, and a busniess. I have worked way to hard to earn it all over the past couple years. Bringing my car out to potentionaly hurt myself or somone else on the street is just stupid. I guess i have grown up so to call it! There is a brand new car hauler in my driveway that i can load my junk up anytime and grab my dad my wife and my family and go hand out ass whooopens at the track!

i found some pretty good clean not bumpy strips for racing street, the street behind furniture row off 151 that connects east post to menards, connection rd. out 10th st. on very edge of marion, farther out c ave is good past boyson, tower terrace rd, and a few others i like but usually cops near those, but i like racing with traffic, gets most of those randy dbags on the road scared and they back off haha and it gives me a good rush

So I have some updates to the list to catch up on. Not sure about Joe rozinek, I was talking to him through pm's but he never got back to me on about his best time. Does Tom Seelman have a username here?

About "active members" only being on the list. Initially I was thinking at least one post a month so like 12 a year on average. If we think someone signs up just to be on the list we will deal with it when that happens.

yeah as i don't put all my money in my car, i have like ten thousand saved up from jobs and other shit, im taking all entrepreneur classes and business and finance classes offered in high school, then two year degree in business for college, paid for, moving to california to open my own skate shop with a buddy, when the business goes steady going back yo college for a mechanics degree and then try to open a car shop.

the street behind furniture row off 151 that connects east post to menards is a retarded place to race. it is not near long enough to get a good race in it only 2 lane and there is a stop sign in the middle and cops in marion are everywhere

I have finished probably 50+ projects and NOT finished probably 5-10. People who actually hang out with me, have seen many projects finished. Allgo... I posted the video up on V8RX7 a long time ago but it is nowhere to be found. It wasn't much, a 2500lb~ car with a 5.0HO and a 250~ shot. I sold the engine a while back, sold the short block for like $3k, had the heads laying around forever, sold the Cobra intake setup on eBay for like $400, Sold the turbo stuff on other forum. I will admit I never had it running and saying "it made too much horsepower" wasn't right, I should have said "it WOULD have made too much". After Chris talked to me about it when I picked it up from him, I decided I just got way too ahead of myself there. That would have easily been a 800hp+ setup. I was only planning a mini-tub and subframe connectors, no where near enough for that kind of power.

As for the insurance claims, you better watch what you say. "calling me out" on car shit is one thing but implying I would commit insurance fraud will lead to a place we don't need to go. The cadillac was totaled because I swerved to miss a group of deer in the street. It would not have been a problem had they not been doing construction and had a pallet of cinder blocks ON THE EDGE OF THE CURB! (I only owed like $1200 of the $10k I barrowed) The van wasn't even in my name at the time it was hit, I didn't get a penny from that. The hit and run on the Cadillac got me nothing as well, in fact, it would have COST me $500 for a deductable. I lived on 5th ave s.w., you know, Mt. Vernon road, turns into 8th st then turns into 5th ave. It is a BUSY street and my garage was full so I had to park it on the street. Not like I wanted to!

It does say you were on the green, but thats the time you said. Either way the my car was only seeing 26 psi on my pass, so we'll see what happens this year I guess, should be fun either way.
