Jpc's 5.0 hci car w a full exhaust. The one graph w higher rpm # is using the boss 302 intake, the other is using the reg 5.0 intake. I also found out the ecu tables stop at 7800 rpm on a reg 5.0 idk about the boss. I know back in the old days if you had a 500 whp 302 whatever it would be a rough idle at 1.5k, engine spitting and crap till around 3k.

Where's slowride at? I was thinking he said it couldn't be done and the 5.0 sounds pretty tame cam wise. I might be wrong though. Maybe he said lsx could do it but i have not seen a n/a 5.3 lsx do it. it doesn't matter though.

I think you mean importevolution was the skeptic about a Coyote making 500 whp N/A.

Yea, but it's also a dyno dynamics which I've seen read lower and higher than a dynojet so I don't know. Don't get me wrong I'm no dyno racer, but it's the best tool to see what your car is doing without driver error, broken parts, etc, etc. When you drive a old turd vette that breaks if I look at it wrong you have to use the dyno :) It's doing exactly as I predicted which to make the big numbers it need to be spun. Nothing wrong with that, but torque isn't anything to write home about. The more you mod a NA engine to make high rpm power the torque won't change much, just stay on longer in the higher rpm range hence making more hp. It's a badass little powerplant for sure.

Not many people make a small ls enigne a fire breather as it's to damn easy to build something bigger. You guys should know that without a billion dollars into the valvetrain, and hydraulic lifters most large valve OHV pushrod motors are limited to 6500-7000rpm. Bottom end is fine higher than that, the valvetrain is hard to control at higher speeds without titanium everywhere and monster spring pressures, etc. Most street ls setups peak under 7000rpm.

Here is a crazy example of a high strung ls. This guy also goes low 9's with a manual in it, but he's one of those freak drivers.

Damn Rob this is so two days ago anyway. I was going to post it, but didn't want to hear about it for the next two weeks;) I should have known you'd sniff it out sooner than later.

Я не знаю, что вы пытались сказать, но это не имеет особого смысла. Я знаю, койот 5,0 способна много, я читал, что отток Йетс NASCAR головы. Это само по себе есть что-то сказать.

Sorry, seeing Russian gets me going.

Yes I saw it also and was waiting to see if any cam specs were posted, they are just regrinds so far. Comp cams hasn't got any for sale yet.

Whats the regrind spec? Whats the most lift they can get on those heads? Thats one thing I've noticed about DOHC heads is that most of them (this comes from import experiance) can't run really high lift numbers. Not that it matters as they flow awsome at mid/low lift and thats even more important. Add a little boost to a setup like that (lower compression of course) and that thing would be just nuts. I just wish the bore spacing of the cylinders were wider so larger sleeves could be used with added stroke to make a really large DOHC smallblock.

^5.0 stock is like Intake: 37mm dia valves/12mm lift; Exhaust: 31mm dia valves/11mm lift so it is a lot higher than my stock 03 cams .390 lift. Here is a lil bit info on those stage 1 heads they are using along w stock flow rate...price 1595 exchange + 100.00 if they take apart and reassemble cams. Cams, 4ea 895 exchange. I do not know .050 duration nor the lift for that matter. Generally w the reg 4v hyd adjusters you put a flat spacer under the adjuster = to amount ground off base circle.

Too bad not shown vs rpm, it's listed in mph so not exactly sure of rpms but a guess of pk hp is about 6k
