Some limitations to color selection etc, but for those who have to wear sunglasses on the default scheme, try midnight, or stealth.

Once A good theme is chosen, the site can actually have a logo/title again.

Midnight is absolutly perfect. Just the right amount of dark things and the text areas are white. Easy to read and not hard on the eyes.

BTW: if you simply scroll ALL the way to the bottom of the screen you can change the theme via a little drop-down menu on the bottom left.
