91 laser project

I have a 91 Laser RS FWD Automatic i'v been working on for a while hoping to have it done soon, been getting parts painted while the motor is out and then get the rest painted when engine in and running..Painting it silver was red but not anymore. I still need some parts to finish it but this is what i have for now. I will up date as I finish it

Nice work. Not to try and make sales or anything (im off the clock anyway). At work we have a Turbonetics Manifold, turbo, wastegate, intake all setup ready to bolt onto someone's car. All brand new, and looks sweet. I'd just get the cast parts ceramic coated and put it on (if I still had a dsm). I got a cell phone pic here.

Well that's what I went to school for, and I do some graphics and photos for work. But I work at importevolution, do online sales, some ads, etc.

I havent had a chance to pull up all the pricing. But if your going ball bearing anyway the one in the pic is a journal. Theirs endless options, the manifold is nice though. Can bolt up a tial, PTE, or turbonetics wastegate to it too. Being t3 too you have more options for turbos and more hp. I guess I would have to know your hp goal to suggest any turbos.

Heres some updates and pics car runs and drives good pull pretty hard but ecm craped out on me caps leaked and mess up ecm so i ordered one along with some tuning software and should hit the streets soon and finish the paint job

I do plan bring it to the track to see what it will run after getting it tuned and bugs worked out and get some slicks or drs and maybe add a bit of spray if i have alot of lag autos seem to lag out of the hole and run race gas to switch to e85 and switch turbo set up next year if i dont like this turbo set up this year

i got megan lowering spring but arent on the car and its a tab-fab exhaust with same muffler brent used to have on his car

95% of people just need dsmlink over aem, easier and cheaper and still powerful. and they will fix your ecu and test it for you with purchase. let me know if you want either.

yea they can fix it most of the time, they are electrical gurus

They are incredible with the ECU's. I had so many issues, finally Ryan talked me into sending it in (im super cheap). Got it, had a loose solder joint at a terminal which was giving me the intermittent issues. Best money ever spent, and I dont even recall what it cost.

you might want to find out why your pump was not getting power , it might lead you to fix other related issues like if your cam angle sensor is not working right or if your ecu is not working right. Or you may just find it to be a bad relay.

The computer controls the pump for safety reasons, if you get into a crash the pump shuts off.

took the car out for a spin and pulls very nice/hard spins 1st-2nd and hooks on 3rd gear with a damn auto wtf so going to get link and tune with some drs and maybe ill make it to the shoot out with it and hoping to be on e85 if not race gas

going to get spare wheels and wasnt sure to get drs or slick bias ply type for most autos people go drs and manuals they do bias ply slick type but under how each will work car seems to spin pretty much as soon as boost hits on 1st and all of 2nd and hooks on 3rd but never falls on its face keeps pullingline full pressure shifts but lags a bit off the line was thinking of putting a 35-50 shot to get it out of hole quicker but might sping worst

I agree. If you are going to pick up tires for racing go with slicks.
I bought drag radials this summer and apparently I forgot how much they suck. Granted I do not have a lsd but they spin on 8lbs and will be worthless on 20lbs.

I am going to try to unload them on craigslist this winter and pick up some slicks and throw cheap tires that I can burn through on the street, either way they are going to spin.
