Guess we will see, that's fine w me then Ford can build that new 6.2 up and s/c that and shoehorn that in the stang. Although a e85 5.0 boss engine w say 10/1 compression and a tvs prob do fine.

they could but who knows if they will they might just put the 6.2 in there gas powered trucks if they haven't already and e85 fuel will make good power on any engine

Ford already puts the 6.2 in the Raptor and Super Duty, I think if anything Ford will go direct injection and either supercharge it or turbo the 5.0 since it apparently has all the provisions for direct injection. I would like to see a 6.2 in a Stang though.

I'm actually a little surprised the 6.2 motor in the raptor HASNT made it into a stang.

Too expensive. The 6.2 raptors are going above invoice mostly, unlike the 5.4s. No one has that kind of money to burn yet. It'd be a killer swap though

6.2 already in run of mill ford truck engines, there will be some in junkyards after winter. The 6.2 heads flow fairly good as is straight but smallish. Porting them could make some big power. 5.0 flow better stock but u know are 4v. Low 300 cfm intake and 180 cfm exhaust. Like a l92.
Only thing is 6.2 has heavy cast iron block but very stout block wise. Driving my new 5.0 you do not feel the heavy engine up front at all like my old 69 (horrible) or the 03 (bad). I always fought the 69 428 steering the 351w I had was much better. I would expect a 6.2 going 7 litre w custom frame setup w engine setback and 30# boost twin turbo could get w it. Pro mod and 10.5 stuff.

Oh yea some hope for camaro guys. I was reading where gm was considering next gen of camaro going a smaller platform to save weight, bottom line fleet mpg standards going to be jacked up severely and autos and trucks combined.
So that means gm and esp chrysler gotta do something cause that 300c platform will weigh too much for city mpg. Unless it's alum or something. Even ford will be hard pressed as their trucks are really heavy. There is imo no excuse for that. As long as you known me I always bitched about weight. City mpg it really cuts it down. I like mpg and hi whp and wtq w low weight = kick azz all around. Our site owner knows that for sure. I expect next yr him and Joe duking it out in manual runoff finals.

Hmmm are you saying aluminum blocks are a good idea? Someone should call the General :bigthumb:
Thats good to hear about the next gen platform being smaller, as the engines are becoming more efficient. Gen 5 will be Direct Injected 5.5L est. 450hp.

^ Hey i am skeptical on any new crap but this 6 bolt setup looks as good or better than the ford gt block or the teksid. Can't argue w a iron block dsm w 50+ # of boost. Just the rest the stuff mostly. Even gm turbo guys use a 5.3 iron setup for very high boost. Ok enough of that, lets see this thing at the ring and imo not impressed that thing looks to be squalling pretty slow maybe I am completely wrong. Ok if a 1/4 mi machine well do that.. instead it's here on a huge track in germany where the zr1 was. Bottom line like the boss 302 at leguna seca we get almost zero in actual data. I'm betting on the boss at the track we gotta just figure out a way Maybe something like I win you drive the 2011 vs the 03 or something at a 45 mph roll. Idk looks to me z28 tears the tires apart like a 03.

Production starts next December or January. I forget but its an official date. LSa power (550hp engine from new ctsv). People keep sighting the same 2 blue and red ones they've been testing, both with the black ccw's.
