Read the comments on that video. I too noticed no oil pressure in the dodge, and the rpm's were way down except in the ford.

You know you can't take this seriously. The test needs to be done by an impartial party, this is pure marketing magic. Plain and simple they more than likely "Massage" things to work out the way they want.

The free powertrain software update for 2011 diesel Super Dutys boosts the ratings from 390 horsepower and 735 pounds-feet of torque to an astonishing 400 hp and 800 pounds-feet, eclipsing GM’s 6.6-liter Duramax V-8 rating of 397 hp and 765 pounds-feet. We didn't test the re-rated Ford trucks because they weren’t available at test time. Since that is certified hp and tq these days unless the chevy is much lighter well you know.....And Pulling crap 500# matters lil.

And btw you always spouted off how you like the rpms and hp so you should like the ecoboost setup.. Turbos, 6 bolt mains, power from 2k to 6.5k from a truck and I bet u 50.00 a software upgrade will really wake that mtr up. A taurus sho gained over a sec. in 1/4 mi. w software tune.

I'm not all here touting ecoboost is God's engine or something just think for once they got some ducks in a row as they know one, the epa mpg fleet avg is going to be tough and 2 competition is tough w toyota and nissan getting into larger trucks.

I don't know if this new ford diesel is all that, we will see and I admit the 6.0 was a pos. happy now. Navistar got their azz sued off by ford and others so ford said fk you navistar and built their own diesel. Something dodge or chevy doesn't do, we will see if that was stupid or not. I gotta give them credit, they are trying their azz off and haven't taken a dime of taxpayer money.

All of these factory boosted vehicles can gain lots of power with a tune, minor Changes and more boost. The chevy was 200lb lighter but it was proven to make little difference when you already pulling 10k lbs

ill agree with you there. i love the interior on the new fords. but thats because i am a chevy guy. all i have been in for the last five years was every chevy interior from 74-present and im just bored with them.

Just another division under GM's umbrella. Izuzu didn't make the engine and go 'here you go guys'. This is just turning into a pissing contest now. I just read today about gm owning the design well good deal then usa owned design I'm all for that. I know for fact for yrs isuzu had the mid powered transport market for yrs. All I saw in k.c. was isuzu diesels. We won't talk about gm'ss pos light duty diesel out then. Isuzu bailed them out and welleducatedd them to what makes a good light diesel and imo way better than the 6.0 and as good as the oldcumminss.
