Now for the frames section how it says unmodified, does that mean one can't box in a U shaped C channel or 3 sided open frame?

I think as long as your stock frame rails are in place in factory location your fine, obviously they allow your roll cage and additional plating for the roll cage to be welded onto the frame so I would assume you can box the rest of it too!!

if you can notch into them for mini tubs i dont see why you couldnt box a stock frame.

doesnt say anything about trunk floor either, I know if you put a different trunk floor in a fox you would be essentially boxing it in.

I am looking foward to trying spank my old parts which will be on a few 10.5 cars next year. First I need a rear and a cage.

Yep, you can box, notch, do whatever you want to the frame rails. The orignals just need to stay in the original place. Basicly this rule is in place to keep people from moving the frame rails in, or back-halving the car.

So if you have mini tubs, just the outer rails came be moved/narrowed-correct???

At that point the inners should be left in the stock locations???? No exceptions to be legal in the 10.5 class & how is it policed??

I imagine they just look. Apparently there is some guys running 4.90's in the 1/8 with ladder bars and no frame notching or mini tubs so. So I am pretty sure my slow car won't need to notch the frame.

You are correct. The inner portion of the frame rail needs to stay in place, you can do some minor notching to the outside of the frame rail to get a tire to fit.
