Okay so the day has come where wheels are next on my list of crap to buy so i can maybe drive my car this year... Im going to be purchasing Keizer wheels for my car being im a dealer so they are a fraction what welds would cost me. Here is what i cant decide on though, I will most likely be painting my car all red (same red it is now) or if i feel like a big change its getting painted black and I cant decide what to do with the wheels. I thinking either leave the polished which is the cheapest way or annodizing all black or just annodizing some of the parts or last having hydrographics...? Any opinions welcome!

Red car with black wheels would look sweet, otherwise if car is black I'd rock the polished.

Everyone and their second cousin has a black Fox Body. While it does look good provided the bodywork is decent, it's just a little played out IMO. Do something different. I'm assuming this is going to be a track only type of a car. Do something crazy:

2007 Saleen Beryllium

This is the color I painted my bike. I'm contemplating doing my TA this color (half the reason I painted the bike this color) I can tell you though, it's very pricy ($230 pint) and kinda hard to get a hold of.

It's also called Jinx Blue through Holden

Don't matter what shade of green you think that camaro is, one things for certain it's FUGLY. That Mustang color you chose is a close 2nd. May want to get your eyes checked....

I do have to agree the green = :vom: I obviously like black fox bodies, even though mines not acutally black. I would say leave the "rim?" of the wheel polished with hydrographics on the center and beadlock ring would look sweet. IMO save all the bling for next winter and get that beast running

Yea thats kinda where im at with annodizing but i could get em painted free.. so i dont know. But yea im giving up a my pitbikes to fund wheels and tires among a couple other items like fuel lines and a meth injection setup... and trust me the pitbikes are more fun! But the car will be better when finished!

LOL yeah I've searched for some affordable pit bikes before but just didnt like what I found for the money! The nice thing about the wheels is once you buy them its easy to take em off and change them anytime down the road. I love the hydro graphics stuff and would love to get something done so Im kinda partial to that, although it only holds up as well as paint

anodized black would be really nice, especially with that red.

yea well my beadlocks will either need annodized then put together or im gunna have to pay the annodizing guy to do it.. im not sure. Anyone now what it costs? Or a good place to have it done?

Scott

Never had it done before, I know theres a place called Cool Concepts local to us that does a good job powder coating if that helps at all, they might anodize too

I dont believe he does any anodizing, but I would check first to be sure. He did my up-pipe for the subaru, had it done in cermashine ceramic.

Get the beadlock anodized red, or also black. Then get anodized red or black lug nuts.

I see just fine cutie. I was trying to offer a different perspective on maybe doing something different than just the typical black fox body. Yes, it looks good, but everyone has it. Evidently you missed the point. May wanna get your eyes checked....

Too many people around here already have the wheels in the 2nd picture.. At least me and Chris do anyway.

I get your point though I just had to throw that in there, for the weight and cost they're hard to beat. You really want the shit go with a spindle mount front

can you run spindle mounts on the street? i want to change my front brakes to strange anyway...

but yea the reason i like the first set best is partly due to you guys havin the others.

how durable is that black anodizing? Say if they were on a street car and not just a weekend warrior?

I honestly dont know due to the fact I couldnt afford them when I was looking at them so I have no first hand experience. but the front hub is mounted on a spindle anyway so I dont think the fact that they are spindle mount makes them too weak for the street, I think its generally the lightweight wheels and brakes that you have to run that would be the limiting factor. and its a PITA to take the front wheel off! Im pretty sure you would also need a specific strut built with spindle mount brake brackets unless you wanted to get fancy and fab it up yourself. Strange just announced at PRI a new lightweight front brake kit that has a floating rotor so its less likely to warp apparently, I've ran my old style lightweight strange race brakes on the street "bout 100 miles so far" and it seems they take alot more pounding on the strip trying to slow down than the street

I've ran them for half a year and havent had any issues with the durability yet, havent driven in the rain or got anything real nasty on them yet though

I driven the car a lot on the street and havent had a bit of trouble. Not only that but its a whole lot less maintenance than polishing the shiny ones! I just soap wash them and wipe them off.
