I'm not very audio smart so I'm not sure where to even look for help on this. If anyone knows any write ups related to this let me know. I know a bunch of you guys are into audio stuff here.

What I'm wanting to do is keep the factory deck in my cadillac, but run another newer one that has mp3/ipod/cd/subwoofer support. I'd like to hide it in the glovebox so that it still all looks factory, and still hopefully have the factory deck control volume. I know I've heard of taking the stuff out of old g20 chevy vans that had tv's in them but I need something a little more in depth. Thanks

Does the factory deck have an aux input?

Lol, I had a 83 Eldorado Barritz in High School. I just wound up cutting out the radio spot with a air saw for a DIN sleeve and a CD player. Is that why you're wanting to use the factory stereo, or are you wanting to hide the other stuff?

I just like the way it looks. Fake wood grain ftw. That and I've never liked the look of any aftermarket deck. I like the way factory looks.
