I hadn't heard anything about this car until I see this build of Vaughn Gittens car.

I am not loving those big ugly fender flares! By that, I mean that entire car is ugly as fuck now and I want to hurt it... I am sure they could have sucked those wheels in another 2" and not screwed up the entire look with those JEEP flares...

Totally dig the front end, now if it was mated with the heidt's idependent rear in car craft that would smoke some stuff in the twisities

I liked all the tech in this car but man a lil less flares been so nice imo...

Other thing based upon my 69 fastback, ducktail may be a lil much as w a 250# guy plus me then at 150# it scraped the sidewalls at 120/130 mph. Mine was rolled fender so no big deal. Old 69 w 3:00 gear went plenty fast top end wise w that c3ae 427 solid cam. I've only had the 2011 to 130 but it seemed fine w the liil stock ducktail.

That looks nuts. I agree with deimos, an IRS would be sick

What do you say we do that to your camaro Kitch? I would be down with the sickness.

Eh, I don't think my car really deserves it haha. I do like the irs swaps in 60s a and f bodies, expecially with inboard mounted disk brakes like old jags had. If I wanted to make my car handle, I'd just throw a Fayes Watts link in the rear. They are pretty sick nasty

Those watts links do look pretty bad ass. Although it reminds me do much of a PT cruiser crank bell.

That's because it essentially is. I remember there being a pissing match a while back on Thirdgen when this came out for Fbody's. A lot of nay sayers as to their ability to keep the rear end centered using a "reverse" style. I know Sam Strano was defending it, but it turned into a cock measuring contest. I myself think it's a big chunk of change to drop on something that I have yet to find a video of one actually on a car going down the road proving it works. I think if they brought it down to the price for Mustangs, and the fact that I didn't just buy a new adjustable chromolly PHB, I'd be up for buying one and seeing what it does. Hell, if someone wanted to buy my PHB (has maybe 10 miles on it), I might do it anyway. One thing's for sure, there's strong opinions on both sides for it.

I love everything about that car.

Although when Im watching drifting, I dont really like it to sound like a nascar event. I like the sound a turbo 4 cyl puts out.

If Strano backs it, it must be good. That guy understands handling on these cars like no other. His car doesn't handle like it does because of luck.

I cant say I have any good examples of the watts link winning races but I cant see how it would be worse than a panhard bar, the inherit problem with a panhard bar is it WILL handle different turning left compared to right. although hard to notice if set perfectly level at ride height, but the adjustment of instant center looks much easier on the watts link and IC height and location makes a large difference on handling. Dont know how much you would notice unless you are actually racing it with consistant track conditions though.

Oops I meant to say roll center not instant center there.. Just have drag racing on the mind I guess

I think once I get the cage in and motor in a done, I'm probably gonna get one. Wish they were a little cheaper, but looking at what you're getting, it's a pretty good price if you think about it.

looks like it wouldn't clear exhaust too easily which is lame

Yeah it really isnt too bad of a price, it doesnt look like it would be too hard to duplicate or make it even better for that matter. Im not a huge fan of clamp-on style locating devices for the rear end housing but you can always use a few good size spot welds to help, or just weld them straight on.

If you do plan on road racing or auto cross honestly you'd be FAR better off investing into rims and actual racing tires than this piece that you might not ever know is on there.
