I got the 50" walmart plama online. Not sure when it will be delivered, free delivery too. Sure beats standing in line. Surprisingly, They actually did not sell out online before I went to bed which was 90 minutes after the sale became live.

Hoping the 720p will be ok with 50" . I know most are 1080p.

i stood in line for 45 minutes....everyone was all nice and having a great time in line too...there were 23 50' plasmas, and i was number 12 in line. so not bad at all. 780p should be ok cuz it has the 600hz refresh rate, which will make it bad ass

I got a run in w a 2010 camaro auto. It was a beat down on the interstate 35. Camaro became small in the rear mirror.

Yea that 32" lcd for 199.00 from a ghetto walmart in k.c. was flying off the shelf at 5:00 am. They had like 10 deputies in there. I was asked to tag along by sister in law being where it was at.

I've been out looking at TVs for a few days now. The way it was explained to me, a plasma has 10 different "cells" that all refresh at 60hz, whereas the LED/LCD combos refresh all at once at either 120 or 240hz. I was looking at a 50" LG Plasma 600hz and a 50" LED right next to it with the same image, and the images on the LED just seemed to flow better. Almost like it was "adding" images to make up the holes in the motion.

You all need to talk to Micah or Caleb about this being as they are experts. But yes the 600 hz plasma is like 60 hz from what I understand.

i got paid considering i had to work. i've never been out on a black friday anyway- just seems ridiculous to me. the shit i need to buy probably wouldnt be on sale, or sell out before i could get to it. Kelli and i both kinda want a Wii; but both of us agree we'd rather pick one up used and save some on it.

100% agree.

I just read some lcd vs plasma articles. seems like plasma has more benefits in all the image areas including motion blur, black level, color saturation, etc. lcd's consume slightly less power. surprisingly lcd's really seem to outnumber the plasma at the stores though.

i think lcd's out number because of the old rumor that plasma's can have images burn into them easier.... but in all honestly they dont that much

Are they comparing the plasma to the LED or just the LCD? I know that the backlighting from the LED is supposed to make them have better picture quality, brighter brights, darker darks with local dimming, and the effects of faster refreshing are more noticeable.

there are tons of articles out there, that particular article i linked was older so I think it was just talking about lcd's but I read 4-5 articles and basically they all said the same thing. One article talked about the LED's and the technologoy is very similar to lcd just slightly better then lcd in some picture categories but seemed like they were equal to plasma's at best.
