And keep in mind the pics are some of the premium models in the game,
there are 200+ of them which look that good and then rest are 800+ standard models that aren't nearly
as detailed with the braided lines and so forth, but the exterior details are still top notch.

they had a demo of forza 4 at e3 this year. i guess it has the ability to be played using the kinect. either way im psyched. i play f3 quite a bit. i have quite a lot of pics ive taken on it as well.

not to menton but GT5 has full nascar carrer modes, pro go kart modes, and even carrer Rally. Sony said they took so lng to get it perfect. I have not dought in it being "life like" the thing about forza to me is it feels arcady and like cheap racing game, GT has allways been a simulator, take all the handy caps off and you can do everything your car in your garage can do.

honestly i think they both feel quite similar. check out the pics for forza 4 and the pics are pretty impressive with the technology difference. either way gt5 had better be good or people will feel like they waited so long for nothing. would i buy a ps3 for it? no

Pretty much said this on a few other forums already but here we go.

Been looking forward to this game for a long time. The car list is a complete joke though. The American cars are pretty much the same as they were in gt4, including some concepts that actually made it to production.I guess they figured if they added NASCAR they were covered. The few cars it doesn't have and should... 03/04 cobra, new 5.0 gt, g8, AWD dsm's, the list goes on. Thank God for the 18 different s2000s though, I'm sure they are all pretty unique and special. Same with the half million GTR's. The 1000 + cars list is laughable. Its all different trim levels of the same cars, or cars carried over from the last game that no one gives a shit about (sunfire concept and solstice concept). Its not just American cars either; Its the same Aston Martins and RUFs as before too. I don't think they quit making new cars.

Don't get me wrong, I will buy this game. I'm a long time Gran Turismo fan, but wtf people

I think GT5 has the new z06X in it if im not misstaken, i agree some of the car list sucks but there should be sme crazy protoypes that arnt out yet in it. know one knows what the game will be like to its finally revieled I just hope the Lisance's are not stupid hard like GT5 prologe was.

Well the biggest saving grace for the car list is the option for DLC, which it undoubtedly have. It has a few z06's and ZR1s, but they forgot the C6R too... wtf

They are gonna release Download Content cars right away from what I've read, if not soon after release.

They are showing a voucher with the collectors edition, so I think thats what they are planning

Ya, I like my 2jz swapped MKii supra in Forza. Its a pretty decent game, but the limited time demo they had out for GT5 earlier this year showed how much the handling and graphics stomped Forza.

Forza 4 looks like it will be impressive (Graphics) seeing as it doesn't have the Blu Ray PS3 has, I hope it plays well. Should GT5 be better? Yes, absolutely with 5 years of development I'd certainly hope so.

I just hope that they will keep making some decent muscle cars too that are lacking, any 1st/2nd/3rd/4th gen firebird/trans am. Some of the 80's and early 90's and 2011 mustang. Forza actually has a 87 GTA and others that are popular as well. Thats the only disappointment I have atm.

I was comparing the g25 to g27 wheel, and I really like the separate shifter and 3rd pedal on the g27. I just don't know if any game actually uses a clutch

It does, you have to press the "triangle" would be button on the separate shifter at the beginning of the race and it activates the clutch. Its a all or nothing clutch though, no "easing" the clutch last I recall on Prologue. As far as G25 and G27, for the money, G25 works just fine and is a great wheel. I'm happy with it.

Oh and G25 has the clutch and separate shifter. So does G27, theres minor differences between the 2.

Usually when people see it they laugh at first but then they think its cool as shit when they see it in action. Its really fun and it raises the enjoyment of all other racing games. Its like having an arcade simulator in your house, its neat.

I bought it yesterday, got a few hours in, the Karting is so fun. Im done with 2 lisences and have a 340hp Silvia right now saving up somethig fast. overall my only complant is the Loading times before a race. its your normal Gran tourismo with Elivator music while you shop for cars. Being a owner of all the gran tourismos they seem to have the most of everything in this one. and i cant wait to build my own tracks.

Played it for a couple hours or more over the weekend. Dominated my cousins in drifting, then one got loud and wanted to take it to the streets for real. I lol'd a heart attack and raced my 10 year old cousin some more. Wish there was a forester, but built an x-runner for the truck challenges. Kinda bumme they didn't have the srt10 though.

I hear DSM's got pretty much insulted in GT5, Eclipse GT, and 2gb Talon ESi lol.


Anyway I'm thinking about buying it.
However one of my biggest draws for racing games is the cockpit views, I hear GT5 doesn't have full cockpit view support?

The game literally lost like 25% of its draw for me just because of the cockpit view.

The Standard Cars are just like GT4 Cars with updated graphics and views ( 3rd person, front bumper, and roof cam). But There are 200+ Premium Cars with cockpit view and true to life handling. If you like a simulation physics and handling, this blows Forza out of the water easily. I use my racing wheel on it and its awesome. But just because you can tune a DSM only to XXX amount of horsepower shouldn't sleight it if thats what you're referring to.

But they were just trying to do realistic tuning with the vehicles in simple packages. If you're car came with a OEM supercharger, or if one can simply bolt on to it, it'll allow you to get a supercharger upgrade. If a car can be easily turbo'd or they have OEM manufactured kits for them IRL (guessing on that atm but seems accurate), you can Turbo it. You just cant turbo a Ford GT though but you can get a beastly 800hp+ Supercharged Ford GT though.
