Just saying. I know when I was looking they were like $5000 and not in the greatest shape.

Damn $5000 is the price they were at 3 years ago when I was looking. They should be coming down those bastards. I also like the idea of buying a running fd and then parting out the motor, tranny, ecu, etc. Running runs haven't been sitting around and are usually in good shape, plus you can drive them home and drive until they are ready for the swap.

I wish you were selling this when I was looking for a bike!
If you are patient enough, you can find a nice FD roller for a decent amount under $5k... I had the chance to buy one for $3800 cash but I just don't like FD's. Looks like a Supra and a Celica's bastard child... Interior is fuckin sexy though!

I would fine with a fc (cheaper and easy to find) but FD would be neat and more my style.
If i got a fc i would shoot for 10's for under 10k seems like that is realistic. (would defiantly want to go turbo too.
We will see what route i go. if i sell and save i will weigh my options.

you can get clean fc's for $1k . then you can beat the piss out of them and not worry as much about it. plus fc's have more room for turbo and swap is easier and cheaper as no subframe modification is required.
Mine was running at around $6k including car (2002 ls1 motor and tranny $4k). I'm at around $10k on my build including the car and turbo and all mods. If you don't mind the extra 80 pounds you can get the iron block 5.3 truck motor for $500 or the 6.0 or 6.2 truck motors starting at $900, they are really strong blocks for boosted 1000+whp.

I think that would probably be the FB. They weren't all that attractive but I like em for some reason.

They are a classic car, and extremely light. I bet I could snag a shell for free, and throw in the free 350 and trans laying here could have a fun little car.
