Looking to downsize my cars and upgrade a little. Would like to trade my Ranger (94, supercab, 3.0, 4 spd w/ OD, rwd) and Impreza (93, 4 dr, 1.8, auto, awd) for something in-between, perferably awd. Would be able to toss a little money and/or some computer stuff, got plenty of that.

To sell the Impreza separately, I'd like $2k. I'm back in Ames. Right now I have a set of Sumitomo HTR 200s on it, I have 4 more steel wheels and winter tires in Cedar Rapids, all would come with it.

Foresters are nice, but expensive. Just hit 100k on mine and did the 100k maintanance before hand...wasnt cheap. Tough to beat a family car that does 0-60 under 6 seconds and can get sub 14's stock.

Good luck with the search, try subaruforester.org. Or if you get desperate, you can hit me up.

I'm starting to wonder when we'll see mitsubishi's ralliart motor in something odd.
The 2008 (i think) outlander came with a 4cyl and was light for an SUV. Would be cool to see something like that running the evo motor.

Sorry, didnt mean to thread jack, just bored in class with ideas popping in my head.

I might be driving up to Minnesota this weekend to pick one up, as long as I sell my Impreza this week.

What forester do you hope to pick up? I was trying to talk my sister in law into getting a low mileage non turbo model to replace her car.

Haha, nice.

Edit: Might still head up there, but the wife says no to buying without the money from the Impreza.

98-00 2.5 liters have HG problems. If has been changed then it should be ok.
