Well Its true, I had been working on a deal since march with a guy on trading my supra for his car. Trade finaly went though this friday.

1997 GTS Viper. 15,700 Miles.

I thought the only domestic you would buy was a Ford GT?? Either way, you finally saw the light and gave up on the junk imports. V8 domestic power is where it's at, not some boosted riceburner. Congrats you got smarter with age!! Twin Turbo Vipers are fast, nice ride!

I really like the viper. although some corvettes give them a run for thier money and are cheaper, vipers are so rare so they are really a head turner. plus 8 liters is just crazy

would've like to see the supra put down some big numbers but ohh well

Was this car originally from Glen ellyn il. I installed a nitrous system and aeromotive fuel system on one that looked just like yours, Hre wheels and all before I moved to Iowa.

Nope this is a Texas car, The owner Of CCW wheels owned it in florida before that, hints the custom 1 off CCW Viper SP600 wheels. The supra will be making 1000+whp in 2 weeks the guy is converting it to e85 and tuner if flying up mid month, he said he will keep in touch on it. this is not a N2O car. im kinda diging the 8 Liters and twin 4" exhaust with no mufflers, its loud

Vipers sure can turn heads for sure. Looks sweet. They are definetely not a great driver for long trips. My friend had a twin turbo one in Des Moines and I can't even fit into the dam thing. Something about the v10 just doesn't sound right to me, but to each is own. The early ones like yours are forged piston motors from the factory :)

Thanks everyone for all the comments. Yes the 97-99 have Forged pistons, I did my home work before geting the car.

Cool. Scott (Nitmare on dragsource and other various forums) would be an outstanding reference if you really did want to go TT. I think he has 2 in his shop that he's working over currently.

Also; if you want to go proEFI which is gaining steam in the viper world look up Chris at Moore Tuning. I believe he, ams and sound performance are the only vendors in the midwest.

Not real sure to be honest. Think it's probably waiting for tuning...again. Thing is definitely BA. He finally got his own shop up in Nevada by Ames and has quite a few little projects going on. And by little, I mean lot's of custom fab work and what not. He just posted something the other day that said he's getting into custom Viper specific work. Just built a VW powered duck boat:

Pretty odd project, but neat.

Designed and patented a "Hidden" nitrous nozzle. Did an old 50's style pickup. Pro Street Camaro. All sorts of projects. Kinda wishing I wouldn't of fucked around having him put my cage in my new car. I'm sure he doesn't have any time now. Looks like he's pretty busy.

Kitch told me I missed you by 5 min or so tonight... So this is a stick right? Well then guess you will try to get a trophy at half throttle. I guess all the viper vids I posted did some good. Congrats pm me the details as I live at work mo or less. Oh yea that's about as far as I know rwhp vs boost. Pump gas 1000 whp is not uncommon. Oh yea cfr is open tomorrow at 2pm. So now we have 2 9 sec potential pump gas street cars.

its not done yet but if he werent working on building a TTviper for another guy and a million other customer cars he could have it rollin in a couple days i bet. And yea sparkles i know the feeling on the cage he was supposed to have my car weeks ago... but oh well im in not hurry and hes worth the wait!

Let me know if you find it online. I tried about 10-15 different ones and I couldn't get anything to work.

that game was awesome! i remember you could paint your car millions of diffrent ways to look different than the other cars because it was all vipers lol

(in 98 that was a wow feature anyways)
