Well, after owning this bike for a while and not really liking it i finally started tearing into it for a COMPLETE change top to bottom, its an 81 seca xj750r with 3000 original miles on it...after seeing a few of these cut up online and one on dragsource my mind was made up and i started tearing it down..most people cant see the potential but i have NO doubt this thing is going to be sick as hell...im doing an old school paint scheme with black base, creme 2 pointed scallops, and having hugh come in and pinstripe it...i will post pics as i go but heres what i got so far..

ride/seat height set and gettin some measuring done for the rigid conversion this weekend, you can also see the solo seat im using, it will have 3in bobber springs mounted to the rigid frame rails and also have a CHOPPED sportster rear fender (probably 4in past the back of the seat)

tank set on it, the front will be DOWN about 3inches when all is said and done (its just sitting on the wires and stuff in this pic)

i also have a billet/black 08 harley front headlight thats going on it this weekend as well as some dunlop white walls, uni chrome cap pod filters, TC billet forward controls, motocross grips, front fork covers, etc...the wheels will be painted black with the outside lip still silver, and eventually it will get a spoked front....i am also having a stainless battery box fabbed up, etc...should be pretty cool when its done..enjoy!

Badass. I was creeping on these pics on your facebook last night trying to figure out what it was gonna end up looking like. I bet no one will believe you if you show them the before pic once it's all done.

sorry i havent been updating this much, i got the hardtail done as well as the headlight bracket, but it caused a bind in the shaft, so i have to tear it apart before i can finish painting the frame and start mounting the seat/battery box...

ride height is roughly 3 1/2 inches to the bottom of the exhaust, its pretty damn low, and the seat will sit just off the rear fender (custom made 7 metal west bobber/ducktail fender) with 3in seat springs..
