Here's some comparison pic's I ran across on ls1tech of a 10 bolt vs 8.8 ring and pinion. I have fantasies of throwing my old 10 bolt in the river... btw its for sale :supz:

But I have seen 10 bolt work for long time w a auto. But yea 10 bolt is like a 7.5. Only real bad thing about 8.8 you can't change it in a hr if real good like a 9". Maybe 45 min. w lots of help and a lift. Those old pro stock, s.s. guys carried like 4/5 different 3rd members to check what was best.
