because you have a 1200 hp car right??? I have a Dart Block 406 sbc with brodix heads everything built for 1500 hp just add turbo, with over $10,000.00 in it..this motor in the car right now was less than $3000.00 but seriously why???? this chassis will get ran off the track 1st full pass 0f 9.xx of which it will do. so why is it I should put a V8 in it?? you cant keep up with it now why do I need 1200 hp???

Until that thing actually RUNS in the 9's, I wouldn't be too confident about it...

Trent just saying my pos puts down almost that. Granted urs weighs lot less and mine has a pos irs. But man nines it's gotta be at 2600#. I know you don't need 1200 whp but look nine sec snake has that, you can turn it down you know. And get 600 whp easy on pump gas. yea you could do e85. But on a v8 then w e85 at least 900 whp. I'm not trying to be a azz and am waiting to see how it does. OK? And yea I looked up frankenstang there's many of those already mostly w gm engines. If you want to do say 45 to 135 that can be arranged. Fine w me... :bigthumb: Since I got cut up, my hands shake and all that really. Why getting a auto.

I am going to weigh it again but last time it was weighed it was in the 2600 lb range. and alot of things have changed since the old days to much at stake to roll race/street race.

I am not going to bench race I will Post the vids and time slips once I hit the track. I still have to change out the stall converter cant tune with a 5300 to 6500 stall so once i am done with the tune I have to pull the trans change converter and finish all the wiring..

Ok good, now give a wild guess in domestic section. I prob say they are shooting for first 5.0 in 8's, strickly got hi 9's w 660 whp and a c4.

If this is a auto trans car, 600whp will go 9's. Just ask George. Rememeber rob your car is a stick car, and autos dyno less. Not to mention a auto down the track you can do it with one hand behind your back.

Yeah 9's is one hell of a number to be casually throwing around when talking about a 4 banger car!!! Ya know maybe re-word that to say "I would be impressed if I could run 9's" and it would sound 3000x times better

If it's sorted right, converter working, building boost on the line it should be no problem at that weight. Buschur was running mid 8's in conquests, etc which seems like a million years ago. BUT I would never assume anything till it happens :)

I've been giving Trent crap since that night at now caseys at 35th and 1st ave. Came out of the store and there he was barkin about dsm's and grinning. Come on Trent you can do it esp w a auto. He sure did not do it w a stick.

Well as much as I would love to do 16th, it is my daughters 16th birthday and my wife just told me there is no way in hell I am missing her sweet 16th birthday, however I will be running it at Cordova on the 15th and will post videos and time slips of whatever it does.

:)

just hope I can get the roll cage in it by then.
