We went to the track yesterday on the new Goodyear radials and after figuring out they need a few huge burnouts the tires really started to respond, these are the best radials that I've seen yet. Here is a link to the in car video, I hope someone got it from the stands, I will scan in the time slip later today.

are those radials better than the dot bias tires available. or do you have to run radials for your class?

Thanks George, I hope they do to. If I can go this fast at my local track it should be even better at a really good track, not saying that TVR is bad at all I just always go faster at Cedar Falls. I'm looking forward to coming next weekend hopefully the weather will cooperate.

I tried the bias et streets and didn't like them at all sold them after 5 passes, the mt et street radials have been real good but I read good things about the goodyear's and I needed tires.

Thanks everyone, my goal for this year was an 8.50 now I'm hoping for 30's at 175+. That pass was on 27-28lbs, with the mickeys it took 30 to go 169. Here's two more videos neither full passes but the 9.92 pass would have been the fastest yet if the ignition box would have stayed on.

When you do a burn out on slicks, do you keep burning them till you feel them grab? I noticed when you started rolling after you did it you can hear them squeak a little. Is that the point they will start grabbing good? I assume it would be but its just one of the minor things I've wondered about.

NO! If your doing a burnout in any car with power you can just mash it to the floor and they will blow off even more rather then holding at a steady RPM.

This is a log from my last run the 9.92, I started the burnout and kept the throttle at 50% or so until I let off and let the tires bite, I do my burnouts on wastegate springs only no co2. The yellow switch#6 is the trasnbrake the first is t-brake on and the second is off. On this pass the cdi box shut off before the 330ft.

Did you not like the traction or did they sway or what?

They just didn't hook at all and when they did down track it was all over the place. I suppose if I worked with them for awhile we could have made them better.
