Nope I am not giving away any info just putting a place for it.

Thanks to Everyone who came today, Special Thanks to Import Evolutions for being a huge sponsor to the event. I am sure results and video will be posted soon...

Thank you everyone!! I think it was a successful event with no epic failures :) That's always a plus..

Lets schedule another one soon or make it an annual event..

Thanks for doing this Trent. It was a fun day and some nice numbers got put down.
Now I can finally answer people when they ask me how much HP I am pushing. I would definitely be interested in an annual event.

Nice power David. Was that on pump gas and meth? Now the rest of you turds ;)

pump gas yes, and I don't run any kind of meth injection. I was surprised to see it that high. I would have been happy with 380+

My first pull was a dissapointing 441whp @ 5200rpm and 495 torque @ 4400rpm. At 9psi and 16 degrees timing low 10 afr's.

After some tuning and a couple more pulls I did 514whp @ 5300 rpm and 550 torque @ 4350 rpm. That was at 11psi and 20 degrees timing 11:1 afr's.

No reason why I can't raise the boost more, never had a sign of knock. But my tuning was rushed and quick and dirty so I didn't feel like pushing it more without studying the logs longer. On the interstate on the way home I lost traction at 100mph on a 4th gear pull :supz: Need to fix that issue before raising boost.

I have most all the dyno charts, video and pictures of everyone's runs, hopefully I get time to post it all soon. I don't think anyone wanted to keep any info private but if so let me know asap.

Thanks for having us trent, we will have to make it a annual event for sure. I think everyone had a good time. Good to see all the cars, Ryan the Rx-7 is sweet, I can deffinately see why you can't get traction in 4th. I was extremely happy with my numbers, as I took the car for its first drive thursday night, then loaded it on the trailer and made 2 pulls friday in the rain and didn't adjust anything but fuel and raised the boost a couple psi, still running a pump gas timing map. Right off the trailer made 538 awhp at 26 psi. Added a little fuel and 2 more psi and made 555 awhp at 28 psi with a slight miss fire. I could not be happier with that for base numbers. It still has lots of room for improvement and started out with higher numbers than expected. Hopefully get it fine tuned this week and see what she does at the track on the 7th.

Thanks Trent for having us! I had a lot of fun and it was cool to see the cars do some pulls. Glad Colton took his car, otherwise I would have had the least amount of power.

I made 280hp@5700 and 300lbs/tq @ 3200

Was a good time for sure! Everyone had decent runs and no one had any failures.

I made 458hp and 357tq on 24psi pump gas, on 8* of timing :)

I am plenty happy with that!

did anyone run a stock or stockish car?

08-01-2010, 11:46 AM
Yesir I did. ^

221whp and 230lb ft of torque, 11.0 AFR steady. Right where it should be with a catless dp.

I had a good time, and Trent did everything he could to help us out. Only thing for next time is we need a grill!

Wish I could of come but I just didn't want to risk it + with having to drive 2 hours back to work in time from 5-midnight.

Sounds like it was fun, hopefully next time I'll have more confidence in the car.
Too bad I had requested off the day and then when the talon broke I didn't think I'd have it fixed in time so I picked up a shift and go figure! If i had the day off I would of come up without a second thought. Just the last thing I needed was to be on the side of the highway and not able to get to work.

Here is Brents 2.0 35r turbo 4g63 DSM AWD. I thought it was neat to compare his and mine and the rpm's at which each made their power.

Keep checking back for more uploads tomorrow

Brents graph has a some dirt on it.

It was cool to see the RX-7 and TSI do there 500+hp pulls.

Thanks again Trent for the Dyno day!

im happy to know my cars better off than it was stock (besides the +15:1 AFR at WOT to almost 4k!). that puts it 60hp behind your car eric...but my gearing, superior driving, and job could net some closer numbers in no time! haha

FIXED!

My car only has intake exhaust and a little bit bigger turbo and tune. Im not far from stock.

Is driving skills comment directed to my text today? :( i cant believe i missed the whole shifter. I hit it with my pinky enough to knock it into Neutral

Ryan you need a nice little turbo cam in there. I bet you would make close to 575 with just the cam swap and it would pull a little higher up top. Thats massive midrange torque and if I recall almost the exact numbers hp/tq I thought it would put down.

Yea I thought of you after I seen the torque #. It was exactly 100 more torque than your car just as you predicted. I should've just listened to you when I had the motor out when you insisted I put a zo6 cam in there. Its not the first time I've been burned by not listening to you.

I could even have more torque down low as my turbo spools up fully at around 3500rpm's on the street but took 4000 rpm's on the dyno so the torque curve is even better on the street. I also could've went with a slightly smaller turbo at this power level and if I could go back I would've got a t72 as my turbo can support around 900whp and I won't be up there anytime soon.

Nothing wrong with the way it is now though. Just something to look forward to down the road and it wouldn't cost that much. I'd go bigger than a ls6 cam though if you are going through the trouble. I bet if your downpipe will support it that you could break 600whp with and intercooler, cam and still use the meth with the stock shortblock. Just need some tires so you can feel the power on the street instead of spinning.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b187/darobinson/DaveyMcDynoton.jpg

here's my chart. Not a bad curve, and more power than I was expecting.
Sounds like the little dips are the OEM load control activating. MAF sees too much load and will actually back off on the throttle to reduce load. GOD damn factory ecu and throttle by wire messin with my numbers.
Going to have to play with some settings and see if we can't smooth that out a little bit.

AutoMods

yea thats a nice torque curve, starts nice and early probably easy to roast the tires huh? Looks like maybe some more power could have been made if you rev'ed it up higher?

Yeah, there is more power left in her and the HP will rise until you run out of efficiency on the blower ...I can turn my revs up to 6200, and I still don't know that it would peak.
But I am still all stock internals. Powdered rods and shit 10, or 10.5:1 compression don't really want to find the limits on the components just yet.

No stock 4v, w .390 lift 190 deg @.050 cams 39# injectors. Just 12# and some nitrous. I think when i get the new 5.0 one it will be real close to same w just nitrous. Lot bigger cam and more c.i. Only thing the 03 is a porker it isn't stripped about 3860 w me in it. And I'm fat myself. Here is a chart w 23 deg on the s/c.
http://photos.imageevent.com/69gt4speed/69gt4speedfirstalbum/websize/dyno6-5-07%2023%20deg2.jpg

And 17 deg w just the s/c, you can see 23 deg is worth quite a bit.
