Be interesting to see what the sticker is. I would hope they try to be competitive with the Mustang, but I'm sure it won't be. Probably more around the GT500 range.

GT500 is it's competitor, so pricing being in that range would make sense

I'll see it to believe it. I've had smoke blown up my azz way too many times. Esp gm. And I'm talking from the 70's on up.

If its the LSA which it most likely is, that same engine pushed the 4400lb ctsv's to low 12's. Booya suckas

Yeah that and the GT500 will be a good race, priced similar too I bet. I'll take my GT500 in black please.

We will see but gm is somewhat controlled by the gov. also. Not that I don't want it to happen cause ford then has to do something sooner or later, like a twin screw on the gt 500. I saw some very low 12's article on street tires w the 2011 gt 500. Both those cars are tire burners and camaro idk that irs scares me. Would have felt lot better w a 12 bolt bolting on drag radials. But that's a gm deal no parts to mod it because they are too dumb/cheap to design it here. They have to use a damn Australian holden bs. Kinda like shooting yourself in the foot. Ford just uses a 8.8 31 spline sra's and says fk u irs guys. Why because us 03 guys bitched and broke halfshafts. Cheaper, stronger, better, imo. Lil bit u gain w a irs isn't worth the breakage. You know it and I know it along w the brake bs, no 15" option. That is what made a fbody fly when modified. 15" slicks and et streets. dr is a poor substitute w/o being 15". Not being a dick just facts you and I know. New stang I don't care about brembo brakes just get standard and upgrade the pads and rotors if that trips your trigger. Sway bar relocation bracket and about any 15" wheel fits. A winner for drag racing. Or serious street racing.

To put it another way when have any you guys seen a 2010 camaro run hi 9's w say a turbo 400 and stock mtr? The 2011 gt has done it already. Stock driveshaft, stock rear end w gears, a c4 and sh-t load of nitrous and prob c16. Out of a pos stock engine 5.0 w a tune. At the time the 5.0 had no s/c option so it can only get better w even factory stuff. I myself would like a s/c 9.5 compression 5.0 w 80# injectors and run e85 or that blue racer 104. W the new good knock sensors it'll be possible to do 93 and at least 12#.

Well it looks like only Joe can afford the new z28, it's way out of my league. What info I picked up concerning the rivals... I can't imagine a lot of these cars sold.

The reports are that the z28 will have a base price of $60,000 while the gt500 has a base of $48,000 and by 2013 the mustang cobra will be back in place of the shelby and since it won't have shelby's name on it it will be even cheaper. if not then ford will bring back the boss nameplate or possibly both. and they are pretty close to? bring back the lx 5.0.
