Found out yesterday a couple things, one ford will quit building 2011's in jan 2011 and then late jan start w 2012's. #2 is gen mills is a partner w most auto co, well the big 3 anyway so I already have a pin # to use the x plan. That's dealer invoice price + 75.00, about 3k less than window sticker price. Junge in center point already said I could use them. They will get like 250.00 from ford to do the deal. The loan is approved at 4.25%.

All I need is to get rid of the 69 for a reasonable amount imo. The 69 I have is the only one in the world like it and that's no bs. There is no other fastback s code w no side scoops only 69 boss 302 had that feature. All others even boss 429 had side scoops to the lil 250 6 cylinder fastback. Factory mistake the stang gurus guess it is. They only made a few 1000 s code w close ratio toploader anyway. I have all that stuff to go w it. So you know some old stang freak let them know. I had a marti report somewhere. Iowa good title w valid iowa plates on the 69.

Well guys I am getting older by the minute and everything is failing pretty much. Help me sell it and you can drive the new one for a couple hours by yourself I don't care. Or the 03 for that matter. Yes it was a hard decision. I got rid of the 69 mach w 351 auto, the 85gt, a 65 hipo w that 289 and the 68 289 auto w comfortweave split bench seats to my lil bro and he ended up putting one of my 289 hipo engines in it. That mtr never quit going. So yea this 69 has been around since 74 and I sold all those others. I'll tell you even with the 03, I've had more fun and enjoyment than all those cars put together. So I would expect a 11 auto w some hp help to do the same. I def going to get life insurance on it that way if I croak it would be wifes free and clear. The blue one could then be sold as I don't want her kids to have it or fight over it. I just want something I don't have to mess w but still makes some whp. A road cruiser, no way the 69 can do that w/o lots of $ and still not do be all that. Have your cake and eat it too. I cussed being stuck in traffic many a time w that car.

Thats what Josh and I used to joke about back when he had his 03. After a night of beating the living piss out of them, they always kept going. His caprice and my 'wishful' malibu would have never taken it without lots of troubleshooting. I know you have your fair share of fun in that blue car haha. Still though, older cars just have that extra class.

I want a yellow camaro w black racing stripes....... I never would own a 2010 or newer camaro. Maybe a f body. The new ones weigh too much etc. etc. and challenger imo looks better than a camaro but again weigh too much. Ok what ext color. white or black I'm leaning to. Stone color interior. A base preminum gt, 18" standard wheels about it. Anybody know the stall rpms on this new 6 speed auto? I heard it has a different converter than the suv's.

I would like to hold back some $ to do some driveway things right away. To get rid of those pesky camaro's w some bolt ons. Like yours d/d...

Smart move on getting rid of the 69. Best thing I ever did was get rid of my old 60's cars for my Foxbody years ago. No comparison, new stuff FTW.

we always have some fun... Last time I put like I forget how many cars on you w the 03. It was like when I ran that modified 06 gt. I only had 381 whp then when we lined up. Per trents dyno and 3850# w me driving. If I remember right you had a passenger though. I hope this new car will do ok. Times,# been all over the place as usual. A guy said he def wanted the 69 we will see. Then give me 12 weeks after that.

That's been def a while ago and just jacking around d/d I don't remember. The 69 may be gone forever, never to be seen again, not even here in usa. He's got some girl bring me the $ so he says. And have me put everything spare in the trunk. I'm not real happy about that bwtf it's $. I wish been someone in town here. But I have to pay bills and put down $ on a new stang. If someone like Joe here buy it been the best imo. At least see it fixed up now and then. As now it is doubt if will see it around saudi arabia or oman. We will see I guess.

Every day the whole deal pizzes me off. Going overseas. But Rob does not bs on his word so it is. Azzhole americans expect a completed car for that $ well they are smoking crack then. I was offered 2k and they begged to sell them the bb toploader on forum 54 but this goes w the car. I just want a decent price for the car and stuff, ppl are selling junk for 10k w no motor. I'm asking less than that. fk. So now it goes to ireland. Dumb azzes. Only car in the world like it.

Its got sync, my color, my key, remote all the other stuff cruise, a/c etc. So 8wks max should be here and also w a rebate at least 500 maybe more he said.

Just be very careful with that check, just because the bank puts the money into your account, doesn't mean its good. But you probably already know that.

Don't worry my bank called that bank and verified all was good w that check. And btw the 69 is still locked in the garage. It isn't going anywhere yet. When I get the final price let you know what the car costs. I just know my stepdad got about 4k off his truck sticker price. So order is in called the credit union to let them know.. I'm hoping car w be under 30k. It should be. Oh ya got insurance on loan for illness or death. Like this spring would have needed it. This new stang will make my 03 seem like a caveman thing. Lot more quality and finish.

Roll racing I suppose, it's already paid for and found allstate here in town w give me full insurance for like 540.00/6months both 03 and 2011. I'll still beat on the 03. Just the irs is crappy mo or less and the other day it started doing a wheel hop at the track made me mad and worried me. The 03 been the most successful street car I've ever had. I'll see about at least a ported s/c.

I hope so seen a cs/gt at our local ford place just I'm not all about stickers and stuff anymore. That's for maybe you young guys, I maybe have a few yrs left so I want sync/ ac, etc. and a auto for a change. The 69 had all that extra scoop stuff and bottom line it adds weight. Even if I had a real gt350 I'd sell that for a new gt cause reallly those are way better and that's no sh-t. g's, 1/4 mi, stopping the new gt will run away in all areas. Yes it originally costs more but these days many places like duffys think gt350's are still gold. Imo stangs have improved and now no reason to hang on to past. Really a b/b stang sucks w handling. And my brakes suck too. No a/c etc. etc. W global warming as it is a/c, tunes, g's and stopping is where it's at all w a 100 damn cars in front of you. No way a 69 can even compete w/o many $ and still not then either imo. I appreciate the comment Sparkles maybe you're not so bad after all :supz: You get old... sh-t just don't work as good. That's a fact. Esp me. But that doesn't mean you can't beat on something and still beat you young guys. Just need the right stuff for the occasion. Kinda like that Toby Keith song not as good as I used to be. Yep that's me.

Ok here is the latest.. sales guy sent me prices and the options...He did screw up no auto...so add 880 to prices. That's normally a 990 option. I don't know why it doesn't show it right. 34090 is sticker dealer invoice is 31991 So my lil bros d plan will be 30883 + 880.

I might like this even better someone now makes a stalled locking converter and it ran hang on....Mods are bolt-ons, bogarts and a stall. This is a full weight GT, navigation, shaker, premium interior, etc..Only option it doesn't appear to have is the glass roof. So it's not some light weight. I say Damn looks like a caveman could do it, add the spray and well 10's here we come. Maybe not like you big dogs but good in my book.

Suppose to start building it today. Hopefully get a vin by late thurs. Can then finish rapping up the loan and ins. If I get it the 9th then get back sunday night, monday get the ecu code and send in for the tuner/ tunes. I do believe w this new 5.0 can monitor a/f via obd2 port since w/b o2 sensors are used, that w be sweet. Then bust azz and do some stuff about tires and the pipe and intake stuff. Setup the gtech pro comp. after weighing w me. Get the tuner, download tune and see what gtechpro says. Don't want to go 14.0 sec. Then d/d would beat me. Going to be busy, stay tuned better or worse we will see if the hype is all that. I'm not going to bs anyone about it. To old to argue. Then more miles and track on 16th. And hope it goes 12's. I gotta go buy that alum racing jack for 59 at harbor freight w my coupon. Haul that w me if gotta swap et streets. And have zac do some stuff again.

The one with the LEDs in it is the shit. You never would think you would need a jack with lights in it until you have one. Then you use it all the time.

Everybody so touchy anymore, the economy will do that. I did not know you ran a hi 12. Day at the track I saw a low 13 but it was hot that day. I could see hi 12 at night. Ok hi 12 barely quicker than you, should be able to do it but we will see. I might have a idea w my lil box u used once, I think it still has ur data in it. Biggest problem w that is a flat surface w decent traction and no cops for one run. I got the jack don't think it has leds idk gotta look. And calm down Calvin... Nobody can make a mistake w/o major bs... :biggrin: You didn't post it that I have seen here if you did I was busy or sick. You just have ur stuff ready the 16th weather permitting.

Car is here just got back. Man they played w that synch for 2 hrs. And my color. Then a hr in finance. 30,815 out the door. Pretty cool lighted door sills leather side door panels and seats lot of stuff nobody else has ponycar wise. Seems quick but a auto you know is different. Anyway lights for door handles etc. something my 03 never had, some its def way above 03 that way. Synch.. plugged my stick in usb port said artist metallica. And it played metallica. Or say album trash well plays a.c. trash. I drove it a lil ways, wife mostly drove it. 24.7 mpg between 75 and 80 mph. Drove it down to vid store. Yea it spins tires ok. I'll get some pics tomorrow. Day and night. I can tell you a old 5.0 auto is complete dog in comparison but that's as it should be.

One final thing man Ford is cracking down as far as the a, d, z plan. I have to send in a copy of birth certificate to show that we had same mother. And #2 thank's to lil brother... He was busting azz doing body work today not exactly a easy job. He helped me get a big discount w/o me arguing w ppl and all that stuff. Def for the money prob got a better deal than 03 was, comparing overall, yea 03 engine was built better but all else the 2011 is better by far. I'm pretty impressed and that takes a lot esp. when payments are to be made. Hopefully this car will do me right. If it is a pos I will say so. I def don't want ppl to spend money on a pos. I spent a lot in the 69 through the yrs., money I did not have then. This is the replacement, hopefully it does lot better. I mean beating on something should not spin the bearings these days. Sure now w $$$ all that is a non issue but I don't really want a race car. Esp for wife to drive or stuck in creeping traffic. And have some mpg. I might want to drive it 500 mi on the interstate. It appears to have same rpms as the 03 in top gears, I'll check a lil more. About 2k at 75 mph. A good locking converter should not change that.

I hope the mileage improves cause my 03 gets 25 mpg. But that are the facts so far. I really don't know if wife was jacking around either. I'll try posting night pics of door sills etc.

By 69 they downgraded it to standard cam and 600 autolite carb (the newer one) Like a quadrajet.

Went to cfr... Sledge showed, about it a quite a few f bodies. Being a ford race they were jinxed or something weird I saw 3
blow up and one was ahead of me at say 80 mph I saw smoke put on the brakes and boom bottom end came out and threw
parts everywhere. Lucky nothing hit the car. Guy that gives u slip looked the car over. I did about 5 runs 3 back to back w 25#
tires didn't bring my gauge it was in 03. :rolleyes:

Then I asked around and finally guy gave me one dropped it to 18# cooled it
pretty much and ran a 13.11 109 w tc off. Hot lapped off went to do another and when fbody blew so that was 13.21 at believe it 93 mph
same as that day I let off in 03. So bad luck strikes again at least it didn't blow or something.

It was shifting at 6.5k so
I'm sure it will improve and soft on 2/3 shift. Prob do a 13 flat w cool temp w/o a 15 mph nw wind. Converter stalled at 1500 w brake. Ended up at idle then flooring it to get it get it to flash 1600.

Least beat some f bodies that were mo or less stock though that one still beat me coasting through traps 10.712 85 mph. Some stang ran
a 9.014 I believe that turbo v6 thing. Best was a 56 chevy that I passed at finish line by .0139 60 ft sucked best was 2.055 Pretty lazy off the line or something it did gain over .1 w 18# so maybe spinning some also been a long time since had quicker auto. Oh bone stock besides the tires. Didn't try taking paper filter out etc.

13.1@109 is great, will get better when it get a few more miles on it. Time for a CAI intake and tune. Also how tall are your ET streets??? Taller then the stock tires? If so you killed your gearing, might have gone quicker with the stock tires. Good times either way!!!

I showed up at 3:30. They shut down the track at 4:30. Sat through two dipshits blowing up. First run there was oil or some shit in my 60' foot...spun through that shit and got a 3.5 60' and ended up 14.9x. Ran a second time and got a 2.2 60' not staging/shitty burnout @ 13.23...107 mph. Thought they would say open til 7pm like usual...waste of $20 today in my opinion. Never opened the bottle...

Like I said seemed the lsx were jinxed never have I seen that much carnage out more or less street cars. Ok, here we go a coworker when in k.c. at kcir watching racing... boom clutch explodes piece hits him in head he's in coma for weeks. That really messed him up, something like that well really jacks w you. Like those vietnam guys or some heart bypass ppl, so don't fk with me, I had enough why I got a auto. That is easy to drive, leave it in drive figure when you should leave. I just want it to be snappy on launch, as it is and you saw it's doggy off the line and picks up in higher rpm's. Some some kind of converter, it does 3 gears and that's enough really. I'll have shift raised to 7k so unless I get 75 more whp that will be fine for 3 gears. Otherwise 4.10's and 4 gears. I do not want to do that. Why, well it seems od in the new auto w 3.15 very similar to 03 w 3.55's. 2k rpm at 70 mph top gear. That disappointed me... So btw I got 18.5 mpg even racing it and drive up and back. it was 3/4 full now 1/2. Sure is not a 03. You can see fuel go down i swear esp w n2o w that. Hopefully by 2k mi 2011 be better though maybe not. Hopefully more stuff by then.

^ only sticks do you have a 3.33 std w 3.55 or 3.73 option. Autos only have 3.15's std. To really do it right n/a (4) gears u have to go 4.10's. As it is going through 3 gears and 3rd at 6+k at traps. I did however today destroy that 400 camaro not really off launch but get to 4k car takes off and 400 fades back, a roll was worse yet for Mikey. He's mad.

Anitas middle kid, big chevy guy, he had his camaro over here resealing it. Has a 400 w 3000 stall 700r and 3.55's eldebrock dual plane and 230 deg at .050 cam. Stock heads though. shorty hdrs. 3rd gen camaro.

John I wasn'r exactly sure what gas she had in it so went to hawkeye bought 3 gal of turbo blue and put that in and some 93 roadranger.

Well Mike/Rusty is putting on a 750 dp it has a 600 1850 now. We'll see and I agree it should have done better. Damn he was hot. We gotta weight it. Sh-t 86 launches at 3k. Ya some tires would help but after that just doesn't pick up. My lil 5.0 hits 4k and is gone. Prob keep up w you on a roll at say 3.5k on up 2nd gear. Now Mike said I gotta shift it manual, well you cannot, I don't have truck or edge lockout and edge has a paddle setup, same trans. So put it drive that's it. Heck be faster if I held it to 7k. Very soon will shift that in auto. Prob 2012 will have a paddle/lockout but why they did not now ? And at least a 2.2k stall lockup conv. too so wtf is 1.5k stall about? So you see what I would want. Easy .4 sec improvement. Then a 3.31 and raise rpm cutout to say 7.3k. Btw D/d already beat your mph.

My best was a 12.6@111 with no exhaust and weight reduction. (2.0 60' though! :( )

Well the only thing I've done was add a spacer to it to help resolve fuel evaporating issues with the carb getting too much heat which helped immensely, but it hasn't seen the track since that. But that was this summer before we raced. Idk what my brother and dad did differently. But I can tell you that, when the car runs right and one person in the car + 1/4 tank of gas = lighter and quicker :-)

All I know is that when we had our fun, anything under 40mph with the tires I had I spun for a good couple/few of seconds until they gripped. I'm moving my slicks over to my other wheels so I can put em on. They're on some steelies that didn't bolt up to my car. But If all goes well by next year, I'll have the MSD box finally installed on my 1985 Firebird, Slicks ready to go and maybe nitrous to have fun with.

And maybe my BBC engine for my 1980 Firebird Formula will be built and ready to put in it >:)


And lol @ Rob for calling his 03 Caveman Tech, I'm running carburated and I still beat D/D's time not running at full potential ;-)

Honestly Brian if you cannot trap say at least 125 it's a lost cause vs the 03. Yes I will say right now the 2011 is slower than u or Caleb. Hopefully that will change too. The 2011 is so easy to drive you really do nothing but steer. I'd like another 100 wtq or a 2500 stall or both, it would pick up then pretty good . Notice I am not bragging anything, but this is what the 2011 needs imo. Then it could really do ok. If it came w 2500 stall and 3.31's I really think it would do well if shift rpm's could be 7.3k.

I have already said that you would beat 11 esp at track in a 1/4. But 13.1 is not far from 12.8. I think I have a shot doing that hell everybody else is. It's got almost 1k on it also. You prob could be lot quicker w practice like Brian for sure. You are like me never go just ever so often. And usually ppl blow up, a lot of cars, track conditions suck. Cfr at least has had decent track lot better than tristate. Only time it is good is major events. And costs mo. I would like to get mid 12's w a few bolt ons. It's wifes car so nothing radical. Most being say a 2.5k stall or something w nitrous. Be about it.

Yeah I'm not a track rat either but I'm just ready to try slicks on my car at the track to get mid to low 12's launching the piss out of the car. First we got my car from 15's with major fuel issues, to 14's then jumped down to the low 13's and now 12.8's and I know it can get better than that with better tires and full stall launch @ 3k.

Rob its guys like us that like to go out and have fun and see what our toys can do and play with our cars on the streets to.

I got this also btw. Same price as the airaid and this is carbon fibre. W some luck these 3 pieces have been giving 30/40 whp. x/or, tuner and cai. Plus I can do things also w the tuner/flasher. Basically the sct will hold 4 tunes 1 org stock and 3 custom tunes. Which I asked for in 93 oct. 7k shift 7.3k limiter other transmission stuff and of course wot a/f and timing.

Bleh, track didn't go so well, the slicks worked great, but not the car. Best was a 13.6 with it cutting fuel out on the top end before the 1000ft mark. Couldn't get the issue resolved and it was just not a good night. Pissed me the fuck off but oh well. I think the 650cfm carb is too small for that engine, just not enough "oopmh" on the top end and we've hit this wall before. I drive up there steadily doing 70mph @ 3200rpm and lay into full throttle for a good 5-10 seconds, no fuel issues cutting in and out. Yet up at the track, we run into all sorts of shit with fuel issues and so forth on acceleration.

The track for me is cursed.

I fought that on the 69 couple yrs, after close examination where the fuel line goes through fender the small rubber piece was smashed. The damn thing would lay down up top on max acceleration in like 2nd 3rd and 4th.

I'm under the assumption from what I've been reading, I either need to just switch to Holly that is a little bit bigger, or up the jetting size on the carb I've got now. But I need something with an electric choke anyway for easier starting. Maybe I should just go to a Holley 750 double pumper. I wish they made carbs that you can just bolt on and go with certain matching setups instead of fucking around with all the BS. >_<

Id assume from what a lot of you would say about Edelbrock, that this would be 1000x better?

You got a 350 c.i. engine right? Then i like this one, ask josh he runs something like this on his 400+ sbc. i still suspect something with fuel amount is too low. I have even found rusted tank and crap like that plugging filters etc. up. I bought a new tank for the 69. And was going to do elect pump in back. And btw it could be as simple as not enough fuel in tank, try full tank. It always seems ppl have fuel problems. You may have to tee the fuel line before carb and stick a gauge there with a long line under hood lip to above lip so you can see gauge on accel. Then you can see if pressure drops off. That is only for temp testing.

Oh btw caleb I got 20ft of 1/2" soft alum tubing for a fuel line I could sell it cheap. I was planning that to be supply and org 3/8" be return. And really the most carb I'd put on that is like a 750 cfm. I would do the tee thing first most likely fuel starving. I mean you ran a 12.8 w that carb before they just don't change gotta be something else. What kind of fuel setup you have? If it's like 5/16 line well thats too small unless you have some super elect pump at the tank and even then 3/8 is better.

If I remember right, he's running a holly blue electric fuel pump. I ran the car the 12.879 @ 108.xx with an off the shelf Mr. Gasket electric fuel pump. The only thing different is there is a carb spacer on it now and was running slicks.

The first run down the track last night the car was activing like it was cutting in/out going down the track in the middle of the power band. Had our dad mess with the mixture screws on the carb and took her back out. When our dad ran it, it cut out on him at the top of 2nd going into 3rd. When I ran it after him. Felt like it was starved after the burnout. I waited a few seconds and staged when it souned like it was good to go. Took off and it felt good all the way thru 1st, and 2nd. In 3rd somewhere around or before the 1000' mark is when it just lost power :suspect: and was like it lost 90% of its power. :banghead:

I know the car stock had a mechanical fuel pump on the 305 with a return line. Currently there is still no return line being used and I'm not sure on the size of the fuel line 3/8"?? I think?

Heck a holley mo or less is easy, just set fuel level where barely coming out of side plugs. You can richen it by raising the level but you need plastic clear plugs to see what you are doing. Just remember like I said high acceleration is lot different than idle if it is starving it will go lean and if real bad pop and so on. A check of the plugs also after wot and cutting out can indicate what is going on.

When it was going down the track it would do one of 2 things, the engine would drop out and lose a shit ton of power, or it would drop out and die without any "bad popping" at all. And one run when I was going down the track while it did the same crap, I did smell quite a bit of gasoline and I'm wondering if it was possibly getting flooded. And while coasting to the end of the track, I would have to hold down the gas to the floor to restart it and then just putt with it until I got back to our little area. Its just frustrating.

If the float is too low in the carb, I'm assuming it can't keep up with fuel demand under acceleration and the engine is taking too much without it being replenished fast enough.

I would just need the bung welded on the header and get a wideband, they are a little pricey if you do want a good accurate one from what I've looked at. And it would help a lot when tuned at the correct A/F. Just need to find the money for some of this stuff and prioritize.

i borrowed scott's and tuned my Duster while running on the motor with it. i was worried about clogging it up with race gas, so i got it as close as i could on the motor, then just jetted up rule of thumb on the carb with the nitrous. after that, i just played with timing. my Duster was weird- the more timing i took out of it, the better it ran. i believe my two 11.4 passes were on 28 and 29 degrees total.

The two most common brands are AEM and Innovate . I have both in stock and with gauges the are around $185. The innovate has a version without gauge that you have to view/log with a laptop and that one is maybe $135.

10 years ago they cost like $1000+. 2-3 years ago they were like $300-$500, they've came down a lot.

You use the wideband whenever and wherever you want know the air fuel ratio is. idle, cruise, part throttle, wide open throttle, under heavy load, light load, warm outside , cold outside etc.

Well got the flasher and ok it disappointed me in that unlike the predator I can't see values or change much of anything. Not in a real good mood had a tooth yanked and bleeding a lot. Anyhow loaded up the custom tune and wow this car came alive. Like on 03 when I went to a pulley. 7k shifts and hard enough to spin reg tires and lot better low end. Lot better all around. Soon as this bleeding slows down a bit start on exhaust. Should get the jlt prob wed. I gotta decide by tomorrow cordova sat or not.

Yea, I don't have many teeth left, let that hopefully be a warning to you guys that drink any real sweetened drinks it rots ur teeth sooner or later. Prob next yr big expense will be fake ones. Old rotten ones cause heart damage so they say. Crowns/root canals last maybe 10 yrs then go bad and 500 to 750 a pop gets expensive. Ok the sct flasher is lot different gotta go thru lot of sub menus compared to predator. It does log some stuff timing and so on but I do not see o2 readings anywhere. There are some adj. you can make if you want.

I got exhaust already the jlt should be here tomorrow. Was going to put exhaust on today but the wind was blowing everything around. They say 1 hr. to do it. We will see.

Well I re-jetted the carb so it runs at a 4% leaner mixture while just cruising and 4% more when I step on it from its factory settings and it was easy to do as well. My dad adjusted the floats so there can be a little more gas in there just in case if it was running out at top end. Then I had it at the normal operating temp with my fan on and let it run for a good 15 minutes. We swapped the distributor vacuum advance hose off the right hole of the carb to the left hole because from what I found out from an Edelbrock Tuning video, the left is vacuum advance and the right is the vacuum for the transmission. ( does it make a difference? I don't know but I wanted it done right ). We then vacuumed tuned the carb to get max vacuum at idle. Took it out to 3 random straights of road and did some dig launches w/stall @ 2700rpm and had no top end fuel issues, and the brakes felt better too. (hopefully a good sign of better vacuum?)

And the reason for the jetting I did is because people said it smelled rich just sitting at idle when we had tuned it before. So I figured a slightly leaner mixture at low rpm would help gas mileage a little bit and it would still run just fine. And 4% richer when opened all the way would help the top end get the fuel/mixture it needs. I'll keep it the way it is until next year and see what it does. I still notice when I am in drive and I suddenly stomp on it, it still falls out and then kicks in like a fucking mule. Does it need better step up springs or does the Accelerator Pump Shot size need to go up? Its got a .31 in it now, the next size i know of can go up to a .33 or a .43. Hmmm any input on that? It doesn't fall out when i'm manually shifting.

I bought a 50cc accel pump kit. I had a open plane intake those need a lot of fuel. You can also adj. or get a different accel cam along w nozzles.

Well that pipe deal didn't go real good. Come to find out no bolts. Stock is like pressed in studs like a wheel stud. So bring pipe to work mig some bolts on to flange like stock. Jlt came.

I'll buy the kit that has the .28, .33 and .43 nozzles, they are easy as hell to install. I could try the .33, and if the .33 doesn't fix it, I can always try the .43. I just wish I knew what causes it to fall out and then come back in with full power while in drive, when suddenly mashed on the gas.

Well got that other stuff done about 1:00 pm I started around 10:30 this morning and of course new tune. No fault lights or anything, it did at very first idle screwy but then became fine within a min or so. Seems to have picked up some more and a lil louder. Still x5 mo quiet than the 03. I'll leave it like that for now. See what I get at cordova sat. It's getting scary on the cold street w street tires. You could wreck fairly easy. Course never had it out that cold.

Well one guy told me his auto stock run was 13.1 and went to 12.6 w a tune and jlt, stock exhaust. One thing for sure they put those converters right at end of hdrs. The x is 3" necks down at end to 2 3/4" for the pipe clamp . Should help. And btw 1600 mi on it also.

Guess I'll see the mazda ls1 tomorrow. Trying for that 10. And ol Trent w the dsm dart. Trying for that 9. Just hope not too cold. Wife and grand kid is going.

Considering with the cool track last time I couldn't manage better than a 1.8 60 foot then a 2.2 when I spun all through first my last run - it'd be pointless to go again yet this year.

Although assuming I can find some 15" wheels, I'll have drag radials for next year at least.

Update it ran .6 sec quicker and 4 mph faster. I only got 3 runs because too many ppl. So
12.54 and 113.96 mph. Prob could do a lil better w a lil more practice on testing launches as that did not get better, I had 18# in tires, prob the reason.

Most ppl were pretty impressed. Better than my 03 w stock pulley, both et and mph w that canned tune. 03 then ran 12.65 @ 112 I wonder how much nitrous for how long? Something moderate like 100 jets. Ed and I were talking converters but for sure want a lockup. Heck I got 19.8 mpg avg counting racing. That's unreal the 03 w that canned pulley tune you could see gauge go down. Here is the only good video. Zac could not get off work. But look at the tires smoke. Never got that w 03. I tried. Pretty sure 2011 went into 2nd. She said you were so slow, well yea vs a 9 sec car. This is run 2, then someone we know blew up. Spilled antifreeze etc. down the track. The whole deal was bs all around.

Oh one other thing, had a new v8 camaro auto there, best he ran on street tires was 13.8 something. Interior looked like poo imo. Course base gt looks like poo. What's 25# to look good. Ppl were impressed on interior and just fit and finish, way above my 03.

One other thing and not to be a azz and I'm well fat. Show me another camaro or even srt 8 running what I ran w stuff I have done. Nothing else. Isn't going to happen. W lil Sherman prob at least .1 quicker. And less tire pressure, it was just a long ways to a tire pump up place. I do not know where my portable 12 v pump went. And thanks to Ed for tire pressure gauge, forgot that also. And Chris for the nice words, hell I'm old and don't want any bad mo or less. For a n/a 5.0 w a auto w 1.6k stall pretty good. Auto 5th gen camaro @ cordova ran a 13.8 not sure of mph I think he said 106. Old guy like me but Idk if he knew what he was doing. The 11 on street tires on a so so street pretty crazy 1st and 2nd. I never got a chance to get on it sat going to or coming home, had the grandkid w us. Then we removed the tires right away. Getting dark.

Next mods I would like is the d specs. Taxes and title man were steep. 1900.00 About broke. Enough for those. Later the small shot. That should pick it up.

I'd really need a big tax refund for a s/c. I like that twin screw whipple though. Although a vortech could hook better on the street. On track w stock converter I'm sure the whipple be quicker w that low stall or even that roush tvs setup. vmp has gone mid 10's w tvs at low boost. Let's start a rob mod charity then I promise to get the s/c and beat on it. As I said it's dog eat dog and shop vs shop on this 5.0 deal. Maybe get some kind of help from a co. Then a circle d converter w lockup be real sweet. Deal is I want it stealth like no crazy cams well don't have any now or super loud exhaust, already got one of those. Something a reg old stock bolt on camaro never guess what it could do.

I prob like your idea best John but a tossup between say a 2800 stall lockup and gears, I gotta cruise this thing and right now almost same rpms in 6th (3:15's) vs the 03 w 3:55's. By spring ppl will find out what is best. I'm too poor to try this and that, esp w these part's not exactly cheap. I'm not throwing junk on it. I'll get some pics up of new jlt. Looks nice.

I know this back in my muscle car days no damn way would a almost stock car w 3:15's run a 12:5x. Jetting and timing and a air filter and say bigger exhaust no way esp w a 302. Much less a 428 unless a nhra stock car and that has serious gears, long tubes completely open etc. etc. and sucks the gas. Yea sure would have liked a all alum 351 c.i 4v n/a it would really tear azz then. But not complaining, this thing is nice. They did a good job w this 5.0. I'm sure it would do decent say on a roll too. I gotta get it out vs 03 on s/c only.

Stopped by Jay cassills car place n.e. show him the new 11 and round up a race I hope w his new ordered camaro before he does crazy stuff.

Popped the hood and Jay says what's this? well sure enough ol dumbazz in a hurry had failed to check to see if spring clamp had gotten tight for that sound enhancer hose. Hose had fallen off and now 3/4" unmetered air was coming in. At home, clamp w some vice grips spring released like it suppose to and held tight. Could have been why I only had 2.0 60ft. been pretty lean off idle like that. Cleaned all the rubber off too. Lot of rubber. Big layer of wax there now. Going to weigh it tonight.

Talking tonight to Kyle Blake I showed him the spring clamp he said dude it suppose to stay open, they started making them like that in like 2005. Well wtf I never had a new one that had clamps like that but makes sense I guess for assembly line.

Later I weighed the 2011 it weighed drum roll.... 3635# w/o me and 1/2 tank gas. Only thing done to cut weight is the x o/r pipe. Still w all the leather etc. less than 03 and def less than camaro and chrysler. Then I saw George, did a lil run up to xxx mph just before the first photo r and braked it hard to get 53 mph at sign. He wanted to see how a roll looked vs the 03.

Ok Chris Rose got me a new tune as I noticed couple of times going wot from 3rd to 4th it hit the limiter. Told them either raise limiter or lower shift point tiny bit. Now 3 to 4 is like 7.2k in drive. Other gears about 7k. We will see. Their shop auto car did this btw w some fairly minor mods. And btw looking at 2011 engine file size it is huge 2 mb compared to the 03 engine file size.
