As some of you guys already know I got rid of the Sport-mod and got a new project to play with. Worked out a trade with someone and ended up with my first motorcycle!!

Had a hell of a good time with the circle track racing and accomplished what I wanted to do so I figured it was time to move on to something else I really wanted to do.. build a chopper. I have no idea what Im doing with this thing yet but I want it to be bad-ass and build it the way I want it "whatever that is" any ideas throw them out there and tell me what you think

I got most of the big parts to get a start on it. I know I need a charging system and a starter for it, coils, then cables and plumbing for everything as well. I really want to go with a different frame thats not so dam tall because Im not excatly a big guy and I dont wanna look like a monkey on it!! I cant wait to get to work on it though, should be a fun project compared to what Im used to working on. The engine is a Ultima 120inch, if you get a chance Jake let me know about that charging system and starter options. I think its begging for a little fogger system!!

Ultima motors are the shit thats what we put in the ultima we built for my dad. we are a ultima dealer so ill price it all out and i have dry kits in stock! oh and i agree different frame tall necks are reserved for OCC and their over done gody choppers!

Thats fucking sweet man!! Im still debating about hard tail or swing-arm in the back, with the roads around here I'd probably get bucked over the handle bars on a hard tail, I think I'd like a 3 out 6 up and 35 or 40 degree rake. Hey I am also curious, I have ultima front end on it, 12 or 14 over, can these forks be cut down 6 or 8 inchs shorter?

What motor is that in your dads?

If you go hard tail do a springer and a spring loaded seat and they arent to bad to ride. With the front you have now you would most likely be better off just selling it and buying something different, and thats if it can even be done. My old mans is a 113 ultima with spray we havent hooked up yet. The 120 will be nasty all on its own but keep a set of head gaskets on hand because it will smoke them every so often.

^hahaha

Too raked bring that sucker in a touch. Matte black powder coated frame? I like the seat a lot. If you don't want it it'd suit my cm build I neglect. I'm just on my phone so I can't see great but looks awesome already. Bend those pipes up withtherear frame angle. If ya know what I mean...

LOL I just need a little something to relax on Ed!!! I've been nothing but racing for years now. No beards or leather chaps going on here, I just stumbled across this deal and couldnt pass it up! Im really thinking I need to lower the neck and bring it in a touch, probably 3 inchs down and 2 inchs in from where its at now. I just dont know if I want to modify this frame or just sell it and start with a new frame, I do want a soft tail so it would probably make sense to just start with a new frame and swing arm. Trust me Ed if I want a fast bike Im sure once this one is finished up I could sell it and maybe try a busa on for size. but for a first bike I think this is plenty for me, Georgey and me be cruising up to the drag strip in style now!!!

I really have to see what the bike looks like mocked up with the finished frame and everything before I decide on how I want to paint it, I know I dont want it too flashy cuz I want to ride it alot and dont want to spend all dam day cleaning stuff. We'll just have to wait and see, I really appreciate everyones opinion on this since I really dont know what direction to go with it and I could see myself staring at it for weeks and weeks and still not making up my mind, keep ideas coming

Got some work done on the controls, make the brake side out of chain welded together. The shifter side is just some press fit bushings and a few machined pieces I welded together. Since Im not very tall I decided to go with mid controls instead of forward controls. Took alot of machining and measuring just to center the engine, trans, rear tire, and brake. Its alot harder than I thought trying to build this thing, but Im getting to the fun parts now where I can start mounting and cutting fenders. Im going to attempt to build a seat from scratch and cover it with tooled leather. I should have the foot controls completed this week then Im going to start on the exhaust I think.

awesome progress. Only thing I would do different is paint anything chrome variations of black lol.

Scott

yeah everything I got with the bike is chrome or polished so its probably going to stay that way! The amount of work that went into polishing and chrome then going back would almost be a sin. Pretty sure the frame will be black and the majority of the sheetmetal too though
