It's 100.7 The Fox Free Night! So be sure to get your FREE tickets for the races!

There is gonna be some great drifting and huge smokey burnouts from the guys at H&W Speed Shop!

And I bet Scott will be out there turning laps too!

Gates open at 6pm and the racing starts at 7:30

You can get tickets at The Fox in Iowa City, WMT Studios in Cedar Rapids and Dupaco Credit Unions.

Yeah I might be out there, I've been thinking about switching the car over to dirt this week since our car count is so low at the downs. Getting old racing the same 3 cars every week!! I would bet they wont let you park in the pits, you would have to talk to Mike Becker about that and maybe he'll just put you in the back of the pits if your lucky. They do have a tire machine in the tech building Im sure you could use to swap out tires, call him up and put a bug in his ear about it

Landon and I made it out there but we only stayed a couple hours. didn't get to see anything too exciting. Laughed my ass off when the dude spun out the other guy and then the guy that got spun out just sat and waited for him to come back around and did the ole P.I.T. maneuver on him. LOL


I haven't been to hawkeye downs in like 15 years except for gun shows and swap meets. I had a good time even though it didn't last very long, I had some giant stinky lady sweating like a pig almost touching me she was sitting so close, a 7ft tall guy in front of me and Landon yelling at the girls below us (we sat against the fence on the entrance side of the bleachers) that he could see their boobies. OK, that part was actually Hilarious!! LOL

We actually stood at the front rail the whole time. It was pretty hot though.
