If you're parting out a 3rd gen firebird or camaro, I'm looking for carpet pieces for the front if you have beige, but if you dont I'll take front and back with charcoal grey as an alternative. I just had battery acid spill on the passenger side and it ate away at the carpet like it was nothing. Battery that I had in my car that i was gonna get tested, must have tipped down by the passenger sides feet and I didn't notice it when I had gotten out to go work.

Ugh :-|

Apparently a 4th gen carpet will work to, but with minor cuts.

did you take care of the floor board? battery acid makes quick work of paint too and rust comes one QUICK! I had one tip over in my cadillac trunk (taking it to get tested as well actually), didn't eat the carpet but about a week later when I went to do sound deadener, I had to start with rust removal, primer and paint...

As for the carpet, not sure how much you are looking to spend but you can get a one piece, molded carpet for like $150 shipped... molded, jute padding on back, heel pad, one-piece, all that good stuff. I used it in my '88 Trans Am and it fit perfect. had to trim a little excess in certain areas just because I was installing it with most of the interior in place and couldn't jam it all behind some panels...

Its ok man, shit happens, im not that super bummed out about it. Im gonna cut the carpet thats been affected out until I get some money together hopefully within 2 weeks to get it replaced. If I have to spend $150 for a new molded carpet so be it, I figured If I can tear it out and do any rust work on the flooring while its out. Won't be a bad thing then.

But if anyone can come up with something, just give me a holler.

Have you checked the junk yards? There are always 3rd gens out there... I remember seeing 2-3 for sure last time I was at K's...

Use speaker carpet, that's what I am doing, shaves weight and looks good
