my new project/toy

i got a new toy/project. i got ahold of my first 2g dsm. it is a 95 gsx. pretty nice looking car. it has some things that need attention ie the interior is torn apart being as there is no carpet in the car. and im slowly putting the engine back together as it was torn apart due to a timing belt slipping. so being as it is my first 2g im enjoying the new challenges this car has, over what i know about the 1gs so it keeps my attention for a while. this is my 3rd time trying to type this damn thread up and frankly im getting pissed off more and more cuz everytime i goto submit my comp locks up. so im not going into great detaill i will go into detail later on. and i will keep everyone updated

yea im wanting to shit can the t25....lol...its still good, no shaft play at all. so it will work for a while, but ill definatly be upgrading it. came with everything to put it together, except for the carpet. but ive been talking to bowtie bubba and he has some carpet for cheap, so after i get the interior put together ill get pics of that....haha

If you make it with that t25 till the winter, more than likely I'd let my 20g go.
Still in great shape, no shaft play when I had it apart in March.

I believe it's a Buschur Racing 20g, one of the best modified ones I believe. Drifte I'm sure can confirm. I'm also thinking of selling my Apexi exhaust and intercooler. The apex-i gt intercooler to my knowledge is actually for a 2g, just been rigged to fit onto my car.

I also have like three boost controllers, all work. Well they worked on my friend's honda. Won't work on my car, me and Jesse couldn't figure it out and finally I just fuck it and I use wastegate springs now.


Trying to think of what other stuff I have that I could load off on you :P

Edit: Just thought of more stuff I'll be getting rid of!

my FIC 650cc injectors, and my keydiver stage 3 chip which is set up for a 2g maf / 650cc injectors - so it wouldn't be hard to get it set up for your car.

Let me know if you want any of this shit and it may motivate me to go ahead and buy my upgrades now instead of waiting till the winter haha :P :rock:

yea trevor, i got this from bryan....sl4cyl i have nice gray leather seats. yea i plan on just driving the shit out of it, and doing mods here and there. nothing insane just yet. just want a car to have fun with. mama, id be interested in most of the stuff ur willing to sell

Alright, Pm me about anything you want to pick up and how soon. The 20g I couldn't let go of until winter when I save enough money to pick up whatever new I get. Intercooler, I'll have to start shopping around and see what I want to go to. The apex-i is a great intercooler but with a larger turbo at high boost it starts to heat soak after about 3 back to back runs.

on a plus, i got the motor timed today. this was the first time timing with balance shafts still in. i got it on the 3rd try. 1st try the oil pump was off 2 teeth, 2nd time intake cam was off half a tooth. 3rd everything was in order :)....getting really close to firing her up. although i have 3 plugs that have no homes for them. here are pics i hope someone can help me out with them

i think the second two are diagnostics or possibly brake master cylinder resevoir level. First one could maybe be reverse switch for lights idk how its routed on a 2g. 1st looks to be actually used.

1st one looks like the o2 sensor plug.

turns out the first one (the big plug) was actually for the iac. was on the back side and bottom of the tb and i couldnt see it

got my parts needed to make it run yesterday. threw the plug wires on and the upper radiator hose jumped it from my camaro, and she started right up like it ran yesterday. im soooo damn excited now

I just don't understand how you can't fit in a 2g and you can fit in a 1g....

i have no clue either Trevor...but my feet are wedged, i try to hit the gas, and im on the brake, also steer with my knees as they are buried in the steering wheel. but i can fit in a 1g with no problem. its weird, cuz i heard that theres more room in the 2g's...apparently not
