i thought it might be helpful to some of us who still pick junkyards for useable parts to start a thread for people to post in if they find something in a local yard they think might be of use to other people on here. if theres any interest this, i can make it a sticky topic, and if not no worries.
today at K's Acres, i noticed a few cars i thought might be of interest to people:
93-94 N/T auto Eclipse. has 4G63, and most of the interior is still there. lots of parts left.
93-94 turbo FWD auto Eclipse. turbo/exhaust manifold is gone, as is MAF. lot of stuff still there, good body panels, not wrecked, not sure why its there.
Honda CRX. little bit of common rust over the rear wheels, body's a little rough in general, but not as beat up as some ive seen people build. 5 speed, car's still complete.
also a couple of Explorer's/Mountaineer's with disc brake 8.8's. i might actually be looking into one of them in the upcoming weekend or two- pretty reasonably priced.

I dont suppose k's had an 04 forester?... No one makes high pressure fittings for my a/c line so I have to buy one.
CRX sounds fun.

guy told me in passing he'd want around $300. thats lower than most yards ive called, but im going to call ahead and verify again before i head out that way.

Are they 5.0's? If so they have good GT40P cast heads. Would be a good performance upgrade for someone building a 302-351w

About two years ago at that junkyard outside of iowa city had a 8.8 out of an expolder 3.73 and disc brakes for 100. the people there were always very friendly and had cheap prices. next time im up that way i will take a look at what they have now

Any chance I could pay you to snag it for me and I could pick them up next time I'm in town?
I'd be really grateful!
With my dead headunit I've been wanting to just put in a stock headunit for the stock look haha.
Otherwise I can pick it up sometime, I doubt they'll go anywhere and I'm sure i'll make it to CR within a month or two

Ace is a spectacular place. I deal with them off and on for my own toys.

sunline has them for 300 too. I am seeing if they want the 302 that runs for a partial trade. We will see how it goes, Ace is the place huh?
