Haven't seen any topics on here about it but I found this picture on several sites and couldn't resist reposting it here. The irony is just awesome. It is a big deal and IMHO they are solely to blame and even though they say our government had previously signed an agreement to take some of the blame and cost I fail to see how or why they don't see it as their fault. Accidents happen yes, but they could have capped it or fixed it a long time ago but they were too busy thinking of ways to save what they were losing (profit) now its just too late for a 'easy fix.'

I heard they fixed it though. BP made a giant wedding ring, slipped it on the pipe, and it almost quit putting out immediatly!

Co. concentrate on making money not researching fixing stuff as that's overhead, trust me. All maint. is overhead, I've heard it a 1000 times. Only a necessary evil they want to get rid of. They think we are lazy many times also, so cut persons to bare amount. I heard that when I was in management many times, we were a worthless pos. unless we could make them mo money. And yelled at me when stuff went bad... Why I am not in maint. management anymore....
