Short notice since it starts in like two days, but is anyone else going on the forum besides Me, Lt1Dan, and Kitch? We are doing the leg from Newton to Springfield.

Yea guy (Mike) at work w blue 1980 vette is doing the whole trip and another guy (Ed) suppose to go from newton to ? in a newer c6 vette. That's what I know. Ed looks almost exactly like Ron Howard.

Mikes vette is actually getting a Pioneer sound system installed on Saturday at the show. I work with his wife and she said he won some online contest for it and the install should be happening at the Pioneer booth all day.

We try to keep it low key whenever jail could be the end result. We aren't always successful though. haha

Ya by far my favorite car related event I've ever been associated with. The trip between shows was my favorite part. The show out from the small towns was amazing, especially in keokuk

My sister had a Olds Delta 88 like that when we were in HS. Had a Rocket 350. Liked that car. What is it a '72. I don't remember the year.

I think the Olds is a 73. Kitch will know for sure. It was far and away the best car event I've been too. I'll be attending every year that I can now.

Stang- The sledgehammer got a little excited going past a cop that had someone pulled over and the cop followed us then accused us of street racing after he pulled us over. No tickets though.

yup 73 delta. i gave the cop the worst excuse for it not being me that revved. I told him "I was in gear" like I really couldn't just push the clutch in? haha

I was a little over-zealous using a whole 1/8 throttle. Damn LS1s. :neener:

I'm glad that I somehow got 22-24 mpgs running as rich as I am. They know how to plan those routes. Nice easy 300 mile cruise and people were keeping a pretty good pace (besides me on the way home falling asleep, haha).
