Stock motor'd evo with a gt35r kit, tubular header, 3" SS downpipe, and bolt-ons. This is our full 3" aluminum down-pipe back exhaust. 100% aluminum from the downpipe to the tip! Total system weighs in at 9.1lbs!

Needs more tip or something different. I love the idea of having a light exhuast, but IMHO it needs to fill up the rear cutout of the bumper better. I understand it would do nothing for power, but it would finish the rear off better.

It's just on customer basis, he was looking to get rid of the "fart can" style or the huge tip, I can put a 4" tip on it but I think the slant cut 3" tip looks well for someone looking for a descrete exhaust that doesn't attract a lot of attention. it looks like your regular stock exhaust now.

I do plan to build a system for my car that will have a slanted muffler and a 4" tip, so we'll see how that looks. I just build them to how people want them.

How well do the aluminum down pipes hold up? Seem like if there is was a lean spike and your egt's jumped above 1200* the integrity of the aluminum could be compromised.

I wouldn't do an aluminum downpipe. This is exhaust is from the downpipe back. It had a full steel downpipe. The pipe really doesn't see that high of temps and there is nothing to worry about as far as heat is concerned.

oopps, I miss read the original post. :banghead:

Anyways, It's not uncommon to see drag cars with aluminum exhaust from the turbo back, but street cars are a different story.

+1, I'd prefer the look of one more inch diameter tip . looks good overall though

I think it sounds awesome, but you threw me off too with this:
"This is our full 3" aluminum down-pipe back exhaust. 100% aluminum from the downpipe to the tip!"
Even though before that you said ss downpipe. I'd just stick to sayin' cat back even though Im sure theirs not one involved in that system.

Looks good!! How much for that muffler? Thought of making a rebuildable version of it at all?
