Any Ideas? I took the hoist up to make sure I could clear my radiator support when pulling the motor, and I can't get the Piston to come back in. I've even taken the plug all the way out which caused some fluid to come out but the piston didn't move.

It shouldn't need any significant weight on there? I Hung on it, I'm 140#.

No leaks or anything, Hoist has only been used a couple times. Its from AC Delco. I'm not really an expert on hydraulics so if anybody could explain to me a way to get this beast down?

ummmmm... losen the little bleeder that lowers it, then push up on the arm and see if that releases it.

you didnt over extend the ram (piston) did you? if you over extended it, it would get stuck out of its proper groove, or seals causing it to get stuck up, cuz it cant get back into the cylinder properly to let it back down. they normally have a red mark on the ram itself to let you know when to stop

probably either gonna have to take the piston apart, or put a bunch of weight on it to get to come back down.. If its not that old maybe take it back to the store and see they will get you another one?

The piston was just a little lose on the mounting pad. It shifted like 3 mm and that was enough to keep it from coming back. I've got it taken care of now :tonqe:
