Using a bread truck as the enclosure, its known as a MTX thunder 1,000,000. It has a 600lb magnet on it. It did over 160db at 6hz. Cone movement in and out peaks at 2 tons of force. The bread truck panels move in and out like plastic when it plays. At testing the owner wasnt happy until it blew the back doors open, unfortunately it also had a smoke show.6 inches of throw and 17,000 inches of displacement.

ain't seen that in a few years, actually probably not since like 1997-1998 when he competed with it.
and of course there was a smoke show, it is still an MTX LOL... my Fi BTL, HDC315, APXX18, and a few other subs I have can take 2-3 times more power than the "jackhammer" or whatever that big ass MTX sub is. I had over 20K watts going to my APXX18 for at least a good total of 20 minutes, it got warm and a little smelly but no smoke. Seen a Jackhammer or whatever it is smoke on a single XXX-6400D (probably 4Kw or so)
How come you don't do comps or anything? you seem to be into car audio enough and we could use some more competitors. I'll be rockin' a Fully Loaded Fi BTL 18" and a DD Z1 this season. ported through the rear deck at around 36hz, should be fun ;)

Can't get myself to sacrifice space in my cars. GOne the ways of pro audio. Im trying to choose a driver right now working between a 13av.2 and eminence Definimax 4015LF. very different drivers. WIll be going in a folded horn 36" square enclosure. If it fits in the forester and I have an amp and power to it I could see what it would do at a competition. I try to run high efficiency low power though (95db 1w/1m at 25hz). I build pro audio different than typical. I dont stop at 40hz, thats where I just get started.
If i could get a 18"-21" to fit in my folded horn plans and THEN still fit through a standard doorway I could use a 8" fi btl, dual 2 ohm if its efficient enough. The single active sub will only see 540w rms at 4 ohms. I'd really like to get ahold of ED a7 450 drivers.

I wouldn't get the 13av.2 for that purpose.
