Hey - just for you honda guys thought I'd post this, always thought this thing looked funny with the slicks on.

The red one was a 500whp built d16. The black one behind it is one of the 300whp civics in town that I've spoke of before. The red one though cracked a sleeve on the dyno though, and after many problems with the build over the last couple years it was finally given up on a few months ago and parted out. Many of the parts are now on one of the other civics in town.

But anyway - just thought I'd share this pic of how it looked when it was on the road as I just found the picture. We all thought it looked pretty funny.

Without a doubt though it was a beast, and spun even with slicks.

Who built his engine? I remember my brother built a d16 for boost but sold it off to someone after he decided he didnt want to go that route.

500hp on a d16 is pretty good for a sohc. what size turbo was on that thing.
I thought the d series was a cast block?

I honestly don't know any of the specs - the car was just never around lol
It was tossed around to many different shops including Revhard over the course of two years. Was supposed to be finished in a few months.

When it was actually here in town and drivable for a few weeks, it was only making around 460whp and was due to go back to a shop somewhere in Chicago. It did break 500whp however it cracked a sleeve. before it could ever be run/driven with it.
