yea that is why we call it the cockpit....lol I think they all are import to have except maybe the narrow a/f.(trans, boost, fuel, oil)
no wideband it would mess up the cockpit flow with a odd gauge in there so I never got one and now I will have the light show. I dont do any of my own tuning so I dont have to have one.

I always wondered what those gauges looked like, always had crappy pics or something... So no pats? def sleeper look there.. you still got the v6 trim on? Did it need a hood? I never saw the finished product you know Johnny.. First thing we need a vid of you whppin my azz on spray... Post it up here, get ppl motivated as far as a d/d goes. You know smack the ford crap around if they can..
50 is working hard on it. Hmmm a lil bird said Scotty is moving on up w his d/d. I am glad I can give just the right amount of crap to not hate but take me down. The old dog has had plenty of good days and found a bone.

Yea, the lunar gauges is where it is at. I have the pats turned off so I can run all my different parts. I drove it back from St. Paul and then put here away for winter. Spring time I'm down for lots of runs, you can be my first one too. I don't know if I will take ya Rob you can't be beat!
Here is what is looks like right now I still have a lot to do to it but it is close for its new tune.

Yea, the car should run well if I can 60ft and it weighs to much too. You car will run crazy fast with a second stage. I think you can hold that highest eaton record too! :WORSHIP: :bigthumb: You should put togather a nitrous kit like mine for that. :)

That thing is badass man!! Those gauges look cool I think. Rob I havent messed with my cobra yet, theres a little oil leak on the front driver side of the engine I need to find one of these days, the engine compartment is just soo packed in these cars Im really not looking forward to it, looks to be near the power steering above the oil filter. I cant afford to do much on my cars this winter since I lost a roomate the mortagage is killing me. Probably just gonna leave the cobra alone, maybe subframe connectors and some IRS work I think

Hey thanks for posting pictures man!! Those are some of the better pics I have of it too. All I did was put a clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster on it so I could adjust the clutch, I think its getting close to worn out, it can be a treat to find that 3rd gear sometimes. I was thinking of changing trans fluid to see if that would help too. The car really needs some drivetrain and chassis work before it gets more power IMO, and those 19's dont hook worth a crap anyway but thats half the fun. Its just a fun DD car is all. Once it gets payed off then I might try something with it ;)

oh dont worry man it wont get cut up!! The fox body is a salvage title 4 cylinder coupe so it started out being worth dirt anyway, Im really liking the monster twin screw blowers they are coming out with now, instant throttle response and it will still have that factory look to it too. I doubt I'll even touch it except for maintenance and fixing stuff for a couple years anyway

Yea, I got a catted h pipe which helps a lot to not make it raspy and my exhaust dose not fit worth a shit either. I got to take it in and get that fixed to. Scott you are a nitrous man throw some pray on it. lol
Scott
01-01-2010, 02:51 PM
I am tempted too, with all the nitrous bottles I got sitting around it would make sense too.. but I keep hearing about the tight clearances in these engines and some mythical cooling issues that no one can seem to fix with the rear cylinders. I read of people burning them down with and without that extra cooling tube attached. The last thing I want to do is pull the engine out of this car, looks like a PITA!!! Rob's seems to be holding up damn good though and he beats the snot out of that thing, and both of allgo's cars. I wouldnt be able to activate it till about 50+mph anyway with those tires!! LOL You would think with 650$ worth of rear tires that thing would stick like glue!
stangvortech
01-01-2010, 03:06 PM
HAHA yea you would think it would hook for that kind of coin. I dont hook untill 60mph right now. I'm getting the new NT05R when the come out. There is a lot of people running a lot of nitrous and seem to do it safe just dont do any long 5-6th grear pulls and you should not have any motor problems. I have this kit for sale on ebay right now it is the one of the best kits imo.

I used a quart of mobil 1 syncromesh and like 3.2 qts of royalp syncromesh. Don't even jack w that stupid fill plug, pull the shifter out and pour it in there. Which quad u got scotty? Save some $ and put in that upr click stop fw adj. and upr quick quad it will move the pressure plate back further and quicker of course. make sure you use a modded stock cable.

ha ha I don't know she is sleeping w a trickle charger.. though I have driven it at 15 deg before. You got paper or carbon blockers? fkn lil things that cause grief. There be a pile of parts in a t56... I thought sh-t a c4 has less parts.. There is no thing as a good shifting syncro t56 from what I've heard. Myself.. barely rate it over a stock toploader w hurst shifter. Why I broke t56 sh-t, I jammed it. W 90 wt gear oil real cold temps toploader would kill the engine when you let out on the clutch at idle. So you hit those gears hard on those pos.

Haha ya they aren't the smoothest shifting tranny in the world, but they are still tanks. My B&M shifter doesn't make things smoother either. No idea on what the blockers are made out of. I'd love to feel a tr6060 to compare, they are supposed to be a pretty big improvement feel wise.
Scott
01-02-2010, 12:08 PM
ya know I cant remember the brand anymore.. Its a quick release qud though I remember that, and the adjuster is just a normal threaded one with a allen set screw to lock it down. I had to take a rubber bushing off the stock cable for it to work but it seems ok now. For the best shifting I had to set it so tight the throwout bearing was riding on the fingers so I backed it off so I dont wear it out. Its not terrible for crusing but if I decide to race it I would want to tighten it up some

If tremec would of had the magnum out when I broke mine would have bought that, looks lot mo heavy duty suppose to shift better too. Ya my firewall adj. was always coming loose why I bought that click stop. Never comes loose now.. magnum are made for f bodies also, but yea cost $. What Scotty needs in the fox coupe..

To stop you push the bar to the dash. To give it gas you push down it to the floor. Yes, I can do both and power brake it. It took me 20min to tell the guys at the shop that installed/ordered it what I need it to do. lol It attaches to the steering colum and has two bars that attaches to the top of each of the pedals.
The shaker is almost done. Still have a few parts to drop off at H&W to get welded. Big thanks to my dad and H&W!!!!!!
