modernwarfare 2 issues? [Archive]

does anyone else have problems trying to connect to a live game for modernwarfare 2? ill go to play a type of scenario (usually free for all) and ill sit there for easily a good 10 minutes never being able to connect to a game...the only way im able to connect to a game is to go into the recently met friends and hopefully join a session in progress then i can play all i want...this is on 360 of course

Sounds like my prob, your NAT settings are set to stringent. Set it a little less strict and it should solve it. I steal my internet so I cant fix mine. I spent most of the morning playing today, whooped some ass too.

wow is WAAAYYYYY too camping oriented, nothing pisses me off more then having to run around and sniff out a fucking kid sitting in the corner with sticky bombs everywhere and a shotgun pointed at the doorway..

Yeah thats kinda tough, main trick is to get a buddy for back up and come at that guy in different directions. I hated the maps on MW2 until recently I preferred the old maps. Its nice that camping is pretty tough on the new one. I can't tell you how tiring it is to be killed by the same idiot over and over and not because he is good. I do like the weapons on the new game alot more now too (FAL W/Red Dot/ACOG FTW!)

Yes, it packs a fair amount of punch. I'd say the recoil is similar to a 12 Ga. It needs a little work to the sights as it shoots about 2-3" high at 100yds. I don't care if I hit nothing at all the thing is a blast to shoot and you can still buy surplus ammo (440 rds) for about $89, put that together with the $120 purchase price its the best bang for your buck out there.

I was gonna say, they're pretty cheap to buy and ammo is pretty cheap too. My buddy bought one last spring and we shot the crap outta it over the summer. Only thing I don't like is if you shoot for a while, narrow stock kinda bites your shoulder after a while. Still a badass looking WWII era gun that's fun to shoot. Always loved bolt action rifles.

Yeah the lack of a but pad is pretty brutal and you can find butt pads that bolt into the existing holes but I prefer the WWII expirience. All of my current rifles are bolt action but I have begun recently looking into finding a nice .308 semi auto rifle of some sort. I was thinking about getting my PTA and buying a 9mm pistol too. Ahh guns, good way to throw away money.

I've always MADE money on my guns if not just break even. It takes persistence though to find the right buyer. I've sold 3 guns to the same guy and I have no idea why he doesn't just buy them new instead. He told me he just doesn't want to go through the hassle of trying to find left handed rifles. Sold him a Stag M4 all dressed out, Remington 700SPS Varmint .308 with some goodies, and my XD9 Ported barrel, Compensated slide.

The 7.62x39 gets a bad rap for accuracy due to the rifles it's usually fired out of. The sloppy action and looseness of all the parts in SKS's and AKMs make them real inconsistent. If you ever shoot a bolt action rifle chambered in 7.62, you'll be amazed at how much more accurate and consistent the round really is.

When Clinton got elected he allowed in a bunch of china norinco sks. I picked one out that had been cleaned of cosmoline, bought some norinco steel bullets for 2.50 a box and was very surprised it did that good w iron sights. Sure it isn't a good bolt action but for 99.45 brand new how could I bitch? It shot a 2 inch pattern at 100 yrds and put lil bro new mak 90 to shame for double the price and more. Plenty good for deer in mo. or s. iowa. It did shoot as good as the 1917 30.06 enfield dad had brand new. Still got that sks w a scope from cheaper than dirt and 500 rounds of russian bear and a few steel left. I suppose like cars there are freaks..

Not if you play Hardcore, its a guaranteed one shot kill.

As for the SKS, I'd like to shoot one but I'm not interested in owning one. I like the 7.62x54R much better.

Seriously though, I enjoyed Halo (it is kinda lame now though) use to be big into SOCOM when I had my PS2 and like the COD series. Lately Ive been playing the shit outta Forza 3 and switching to Left 4 Dead 2 when I get bored with Forza.

Single player hard? I beat it the 2nd day I had it on regular, and I didn't stay up all night to do it either. Was kind of disappointed in how short it was.

Worst COD game I played as far as campaign is concerned was WaW on veteran. So many grenades, and it was like every guy that threw one was nolan ryan and brett favre rolled into one. Ridiculous.

The campain for MW2 wasn't bad, I started on veteran and it took me about 3 days or so. Spec ops took a bit longer, but was alot more fun. I personally feel there is more camping online in this one vs MW1. Hardcore is the only way to play in my opinion.

it was.. then it froze agian.... i waited 2 hours and tried it again and the fucker worked all night.

I find the drunker i get the better i get.... no lie! i was getting 20 kills and would only die like 6 times.... in the first two games i played i was killed about 20 times and killed about 2 or 3 people.

I will be on at some point tonight i think. hope the fucker works.... and yes i did beat on it a bit.

well ill be m.i.a for the next couple of weeks...got a red ring, and error 74...so in she goes....sucks it happened, but i knew it was gonna happen, shes been kinda growling lately. first death of a xbox for me, and this one is over 3 years old. so i really cant bitch too much, but what sucks is im unemployed, and this thing takes alot of my time up and consumes it. now i have nothing to do :(

After going through the RROD twice (both due to it overheating or whatever) mine is fixed and has been trouble free for almost two years. After I got it back the second time I got a USB powered laptop cooler put my 360 on top and used the USB port in the back to power it. Keeps it cooler (even after hours of gaming) it isn't nearly as bot as it used to be.
Thought I'd toss that trick out there.

well if u have no warrantee, try fixing it yourself man....they sell repair kits on ebay all over...thats what i was gonna do had xbox not told me theyll fix for free...althought the error 74 is something related to my cpu came loose, or soo they say on the forums

Im also back. i sent my xbox in for repair and they sent me my original 360 back, but with a new manufacture date of 3-1-10. so i have another 3 years of warantee on this beotch
